New York Jets 2019 Fantasy Football Projections

In addition to viewing our 2019 Fantasy Football Projections by position, we will post our preseason projections per team.

Below you will find our 2019 fantasy football projections for the New York Jets.

QUARTERBACKS

Sam Darnold564349.74004.423.9715.5148.8156.21.1247.26
Even if there were some (expected) ups and downs as a rookie, Darnold ended 2018 on a positive note. Throwing six touchdowns to only one interception over his final four games, the (recently-turned) 22-year-old should build upon his late-season success with improved weapons in 2019.

RUNNING BACKS

Le'Veon Bell261.710737.8565.5517.52.46220.91
Returning to the field after sitting out 2018, Bell trades the high-powered Steelers offense for an improving-yet-not-as-potent Jets offense. In addition, Football Outsiders ranked the Jets offensive line 32nd (i.e., last) in run blocking (Adjusted Line Yards) in 2018. Even though he averaged only 4.0 yards per carry in 2017, Bell had a career-high 406 touches, 1,946 scrimmage yards and 11 touchdowns in his most recent season. Bell is ranked as a RB1 in my rankings, but he isn't a lock for a top-five fantasy finish like he once was.

WIDE RECEIVERS

PlayerRec.YardsTDRushYardsTDPoints
Robby Anderson64.6952.96.781.77.70.02136.86
Anderson's numbers were down year-over-year, but he finished strong when Sam Darnold returned from a foot injury. Over the final four games of the season, Anderson had 23 catches for 336 yards and three touchdowns. During that span, Anderson was the WR5 (WR6 in PPR). With improvement and more consistency from Darnold, Anderson has the potential to vastly exceed his current ADP and is one of my favorite targets as a third receiver.
Jamison Crowder63.8797.53.192.19.50.0299.96
Not only did he miss roughly half the season, but Crowder set a career low in receptions per game (3.2) and his 43.1 YPG was his lowest since his rookie season. A return to his 2016/2017 numbers -- 60-plus catches and 750-plus yards -- seems reasonable if he can stay healthy.
Quincy Enunwa52.56512.63150.0181.44
A high-ankle sprain sustained in mid-October killed his early-season momentum, but Enunwa showed good rapport with Sam Darnold to start the year. Enunwa had at least eight targets, four receptions and 57 yards in four straight games to kick off the season.

TIGHT ENDS

PlayerRec.YardsTDRushYardsTDPoints
Chris Herndon45.5577.94.100082.39
Fantasy's TE6 (TE7 in PPR) from Weeks 6 to 16, Herndon ranked 10th in receptions (33), fifth in yards (447) and fourth in touchdowns (four) among tight ends during that span. Herndon could face a two-game suspension for pleading guilty to DWI charges, but he's an excellent streaming option when active.
