Los Angeles Rams Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2020 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the Los Angeles Rams rank in terms of average, best and worst:

  • Average ranking: 12.2 (13th)
  • Best ranking: 9th (The Athletic)
  • Worst ranking: 15th (CBS Sports)

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the Rams in our consensus 2020 NFL Power Rankings.

The Athletic -- Rank: 9

The bye week couldn't have worked out any better for them as the Seahawks, Cardinals and 49ers all lost. The Rams now own the NFL's top defense, according to TruMedia's model. At 5-3, they're well-positioned to make a second-half run if they can figure some things out offensively. The Rams still have five division games remaining, starting with a Week 10 matchup against the Seahawks.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 15

They come off their bye with a huge division game against Seattle. Jared Goff was awful in his last game at Miami before the bye. He has to get it going.

USA Today -- Rank: 13

Hope you rested up during the off week, fellas -- next four weeks will serve up all three NFC West rivals and Tampa Bay, a stretch that could determine if L.A. returns to postseason.

ESPN -- Rank: 11

Recalibrated expectation: Return to the playoffs

With their remaining strength of schedule rated as the fourth most difficult in the league, the Rams must come out of a Week 9 bye prepared to play their best football to earn a playoff berth. They're healthy, their defense is rated among the best in the NFL in allowing an average of 19 points per game, and their offense has played outstanding at times. Entering the season, there was uncertainty and doubt how the Rams would respond from an offseason that saw more high-profile player departures than arrivals, but they've evolved to include more playmakers and the defense has sharply improved under first-year coordinator Brandon Staley. -- Lindsey Thiry

NFL.com -- Rank: 13

"We're good. We're not great." That's how Robert Woods described the Rams, who hit their bye in Week 9 at 5-3 after an ugly loss to the Dolphins. Woods' analysis is succinct and accurate. We've seen nothing this season to tell us the Rams are special; conversely, we have plenty of evidence to suggest they're a cut above the have-nots of football (see: the NFC East, which Los Angeles swept over the first six weeks). We'll learn much more in the second half, when the schedule tightens up considerably. The Rams host the Seahawks on Sunday, then travel to Tampa Bay in Week 11. Being "good" won't be good enough against the class of the conference.
