The Athletic -- Rank: 7
Tristan Wirfs has looked like one of the league's top young offensive linemen. He's played 100 percent of the Bucs' offensive snaps at right tackle, and early returns suggest Tampa hit a home run with this pick at No. 13 overall. The Bucs returned from their bye with a win over the Vikings. They are currently the sixth seed in the NFC, which would mean a road game against the Rams in the first round.

They come off the bye looking much better than they did before it. The defense is back.
USA Today -- Rank: 8
How good are they? Ask coach Bruce Arians, who said after Sunday's win, "I think we just showed our identity. We can do any damn thing we want to do."

The Bucs surrounded quarterback Tom Brady with an offense that rivals a championship fantasy roster from 2017. But several of those key pieces -- Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Antonio Brown -- didn't have a full offseason to mesh, so sometimes they've looked like the league's best offense, but their lack of continuity has showed at other times. Defensively, the Bucs have given up some chunk plays, but their backbone has been their stout run defense and making plays behind the line of scrimmage. On special teams, they might not do a whole lot in the return game, but Ryan Succop has quietly been among the league's more consistent kickers. -- Jenna Laine

Things started ominously. Dalvin Cook was running over Tampa Bay's defensive front, and Tom Brady airmailed passes to Rob Gronkowski and Chris Godwin. But the Bucs found their sea legs and got a few breaks along the way in a 26-14 win over the Vikings that has potentially huge playoff implications for both teams. Ronald Jones provided some balance to an offense that remains a work in progress, and Brady's 48-yard touchdown strike to Scotty Miller (remember him?) seemed to shake any lingering tightness out of Tampa Bay exiting the bye week. The Bucs can put a stranglehold on a playoff spot with a win on Sunday in Atlanta.
