Cleveland Browns 2021 NFL Mock Draft Roundup, 5.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2021 NFL draft, we will update our Cleveland Browns Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Cleveland Browns from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

For a more inclusive lists of mock drafts for the Cleveland Browns, check out our 2021 Cleveland Browns Mock Draft Database.

The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Browns:

NFL.com - Zierlein (2/4)

26. Christian Barmore, IDL, Alabama

The Browns need help in the secondary, but adding a talented interior rusher with the ability to play the run is a worthwhile choice.

NFL.com - Brooks (2/1)

26. Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa

Adding a long, rangy linebacker with size, strength and thumping ability will help the Browns' defense go toe-to-toe with its division rivals.

Akron Beacon Journal - Kadar (2/1)

26. Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

It's clear the Browns need to add talent on defense. The choice for Cleveland is going to be a philosophical one on draft night. Is getting another cornerback more important than another pass rusher? It's easy to go back and forth. The Browns do need a pass rusher opposite Myles Garrett. However, at cornerback, the situation is muddy.

The team was without Greedy Williams all season because of a shoulder injury. The team is hopeful about his return, but nothing has been said with any certainty. Then the team has to ask a hard question about Denzel Ward. He's good, that much is apparent. But he's missed 11 games in three seasons. And the team has to figure out new contracts for he, quarterback Baker Mayfield, running back Nick Chubb and guard Wyatt Teller. If the Browns take a cornerback like Horn in the first round, some of these questions will be answered.

The Ringer - Kelly (1/31)

26. Carlos Basham Jr., EDGE, Wake Forest

Myles Garrett has established himself as one of the elite pass rushers in the game, but the team needs to add more oomph to the edge spot on the opposite side. Basham would be a nice fit on Cleveland's front, adding a burly, physical presence against the run and nonstop hustle as a pass rusher.

USA Today - Davis (1/28)

26. Levi Onwuzurike, IDL, Washington

He would be an upgrade over free agent Larry Ogunjobi, able to defend the run and penetrate on passing downs -- especially if he's lined up next to DE Myles Garrett and able to exploit one-on-one blocking.

ESPN - Kiper (1/26)

26. Aaron Robinson, CB, UCF

The Browns had major issues in their secondary last season, which started in training camp when rookie safety Grant Delpit tore his Achilles tendon and second-year corner Greedy Williams hurt his shoulder. Both second-rounders ended up missing the entire season. With Robinson, Cleveland could add a big, aggressive defensive back who can play multiple positions. The 6-1 Alabama transfer played corner and nickelback for the Knights, and I could see him playing some safety in the NFL. I moved him up my rankings after watching more tape of his last two seasons.

NFL.com - Jeremiah (1/22)

26. Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa

Collins is very similar to Leighton Vander Esch when he was coming out of Boise State. Collins has the same size, length and athleticism. Cleveland needs to upgrade at the linebacker position.

Baltimore Sun - Doon (1/22)

26. Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU

With safeties Andrew Sendejo and Karl Joseph, as well as cornerbacks Terrance Mitchell and Kevin Johnson, hitting free agency, it's a safe bet that general manager Andrew Berry (Bel Air) is going to look to improve his secondary. Moehrig led all college safeties in pass breakups in each of the past two seasons, according to PFF.
