The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Panthers:
EDSFootball - Hanson (5/10)
A former five-star recruit out of IMG Academy, Neal has started at left guard (2019) and right tackle (2020) for the Crimson Tide and is expected to replace Alex Leatherwood at left tackle in 2021. The Panthers drafted Brady Christensen and Deonte Brown in the third and sixth round, respectively, but their best offensive lineman (right tackle Taylor Moton) will play 2021 on the franchise tag absent a new deal.
Touchdown Wire - Schofield (5/7)
12. Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
Safety Kyle Hamilton could potentially be a top five player in the next draft class, and his ultimate draft slot could come down to positional value. He was a First-Team All-American according to multiple outlets last season, and has the size and explosiveness to be a weapon against the pass.
Of course, whether the Carolina Panthers would draft him in this spot will come down to how another player wearing #14 fares in 2021: Quarterback Sam Darnold. If Darnold takes a big step forward under Joe Brady, then certainly Hamilton will be in play. If not, however, the Panthers likely look to the quarterback position.

PFF - Renner (5/7)
Neal is a gargantuan tackle at 6-foot-7, 360 pounds. He played left guard as a freshman and then right tackle last year, where he earned an 86.4 run-blocking grade and a 73.1 pass-blocking grade.
ESPN - McShay (5/6)
6. Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
Imagine Hamilton -- a 6-foot-4 safety with good ball skills and tackling ability -- lined up next to Jeremy Chinn at safety for the Panthers? Carolina just added an impact starter at corner in Jaycee Horn, and now it can continue building up the secondary. Hamilton has five interceptions, 12 pass breakups and 104 tackles over two seasons.
One other thing to watch: If Sam Darnold doesn't impress this season, Carolina could select UNC quarterback Sam Howell. He grew up in North Carolina and plays college ball there, so he'd be an immediate fan favorite.

San Diego Union Tribune - Brown (5/4)
The massive Neal -- he's 6-foot-7, 360 pounds -- played right guard as a freshman for the Crimson Tide before moving to right tackle in 2020. He'll replace first-round pick Alex Leatherwood at left tackle next season.
The Athletic - Brugler (5/4)
After playing primarily right guard as a freshman, Neal moved out to right tackle last season and was one of the better run blockers in the country while also holding his own in pass protection. At 6-foot-7 and 360 pounds, he might transition to left tackle in the fall as the Tide look to replace a first-round pick, Alex Leatherwood.
CBS Sports - Wilson (5/3)
10. Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
Willis is going to be fun to watch -- he has a rocket arm, threw for more than 2,200 yards and rushed for 940 more. And if the Panthers aren't sold on Sam Darnold, they too could be back in the QB business.
NBC Edge - Klassen (5/2)
9. Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina
Sam Darnold is probably not the answer. Granted, I'm not sold that Howell can be the answer for the Panthers either, but he's a top-two QB on every board right now and would make for a good fit in Carolina. Howell throws a pretty deep ball and the Panthers have an abundance of vertical threats. Howell playing college ball in the same state may help the Panthers sell themselves and the fan base on the pick, too.
