Jacksonville Jaguars Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2021 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the Jacksonville Jaguars rank in terms of average, best and worst:

  • Average ranking: 29.4 (29th)
  • Best ranking: 27th (Multiple)
  • Worst ranking: 28th (Multiple)

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the Jaguars in our consensus 2021 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 28

Bold second-half prediction: Jamal Agnew will score a TD five different ways.

Agnew already has scored touchdowns on a kickoff return, a missed field goal and as a receiver. He will have to add a rushing touchdown and a punt return touchdown. Agnew is the most explosive player the Jaguars have, and his role on offense is increasing. He got the ball on a jet sweep against Buffalo (he has three total carries so far), and the Jaguars will use him creatively to try to spark an offense that's averaging just 17.5 points per game. -- Mike DiRocco

NFL.com -- Rank: 27

Josh Allen was the dominant force in the Bills game on Sunday. Just not the Josh Allen we all expected. Linebacker Josh Allen -- the Jaguars' Josh Allen -- was a stud in an upset win over Buffalo, piling up a game-high eight tackles to go with a sack, interception and fumble recovery in the 9-6 stunner. Allen and the rest of the Jags' front seven were relentless in pursuit of the Bills' Josh Allen, who was routinely chased from the pocket and forced to check down to receivers against a defense that refused to let Buffalo beat it with downfield strikes. After a tumultuous -- and, frankly, disastrous -- start to his tenure in Jacksonville, Urban Meyer has a signature victory to build off.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 28

The defense came up big against the Bills. Where has that been all season? The offense still needs to do more as they ready to face the Colts.

USA Today -- Rank: 27

The upset of the season in hand, what do they do for an encore given they won't face another team with a winning record until December?

The Athletic -- Rank: 28

Are they good? No, despite what the scoreboard said Sunday. Give credit to Jacksonville's defense, for sure. Rookie QB Trevor Lawrence managed 118 passing yards on 26 attempts, which works to 4.54 yards per attempt. That's the second-lowest average for any QB with 25 attempts in a win this season, trumped only by Patrick Mahomes' 4.49 in Sunday's win over the Packers. What's worse, Lawrence has two games this season with fewer yards per attempt. Urban Meyer is now 2-2 since his Columbus video controversy. Both wins were by three points, which is to say his Jaguars are grinders.
