Below you will find a Week 9 roundup for the Dolphins in our consensus 2021 NFL Power Rankings.
ESPN -- Rank: 30
Biggest Achilles' heel: Offensive inefficiency
This is a question with about a dozen different answers, but Miami's struggles on offense stand out. The Dolphins rank 30th in yards per game, 31st in yards per play and 28th in scoring. In almost unbelievable fashion, Miami attempts the fourth-most passes per game yet still ranks 25th in passing yards. As Sunday's loss to the Bills proved, Miami is still capable of playing good defense -- but without an offense that can carry its own weight, the Dolphins won't win many more games. -- Marcel Louis-Jacques

Seven is an unlucky number for the Dolphins. They're up to seven consecutive losses to the Bills (outscored 258-123 in those games) and seven consecutive losses on the year after a season-opening win in Foxborough that feels like it happened in another dimension. After the latest setback -- which featured a confused, listless performance from the offense -- Brian Flores waited longer than usual before addressing reporters and then acknowledged he had taken extra time to ruminate on a season that has gone horribly awry. "Today, I really just kind of sat there," he said. "It's a tough loss, it's a number of losses in a row, so I just figured we'll let the players go." It's taking a toll.
CBS Sports -- Rank: 30
This season is done. They can talk all they want about Deshaun Watson, but it wouldn't matter anyway. They are one of the biggest flops of the season.
USA Today -- Rank: 30
They've got the worst defense in the league and have run the ball fewer than anyone else. So why do we keep asking Brian Flores about QB Tua Tagovailoa? Maybe it's time to broker a trade for Khalil Mack ... or at least Larry Csonka.
The Athletic -- Rank: 29
How's the head coach? Things are bad for third-year coach Brian Flores, who can finally stop answering questions (for now) about Deshaun Watson after the Dolphins declined to trade for the Texans QB. The questions about Flores' job security, though, will continue. That's what happens after seven consecutive losses, a consistently boring offense and a bad defense week after week.
