Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.
Below you will find a Week 6 roundup for the Arizona Cardinals in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.
ESPN -- Rank: 27
Fantasy surprise: WR Michael Wilson
The rookie out of Stanford has 15 catches for 255 yards and two touchdowns in his first five games, quickly becoming one of Joshua Dobbs' favorite targets. He started from Day 1 and showed quickly he has what it takes to not just make plays but make big plays, and that's expected to continue. -- Josh Weinfuss

This was a tough loss to swallow, because you knew the Cardinals were getting a vulnerable Bengals team at a pretty good time. But Joshua Dobbs had his first really rough day of the season, and the defense allowed a Tee Higgins-less offense to continue to hammer the same play over and over: Joe Burrow to Ja'Marr Chase. The secondary situation is a bit of a mess: Arizona was already down Budda Baker (on IR) and lost Jalen Thompson midway through the game. The Bengals picked on CBs Marco Wilson and Antonio Hamilton (who seems to have replaced rookie Kei'Trel Clark as a starter) repeatedly. Hamilton also got banged up Sunday, and it feels like the Cardinals are having to patch holes on the back end every week. Not to mention, bell-cow RB James Conner is expected to miss multiple weeks with a knee injury.
CBS Sports -- Rank: 27
They compete every week, but they are just undermanned. Will Kyler Murray play at all this season? If not, is he done with the team?
USA Today -- Rank: 30
No NFC team is blitzing less frequently — worth wondering if that's the right approach given the way Arizona's D has been torn up the past two weeks.
The Athletic -- Rank: 25
Quarterback Joshua Dobbs, acquired in a "who cares?" trade from the Browns on Aug. 24, has six touchdowns versus two interceptions and is 17th in the NFL in passer rating (90.8), which is better than Dak Prescott, Derek Carr, Deshaun Watson and Matthew Stafford among others. Throw in the fact that No. 6 pick Paris Johnson has played every snap at tackle and that Arizona has six picks in the first three rounds next year, and the Cardinals are in good shape for the future.
FOX -- Rank: 27
Maybe we just copy and paste the Cardinals' blurb every week. They're clearly well-coached and a team you can't overlook. But the bottom line is this roster is behind the eight-ball in most games. As fun as it was to beat Dallas, hopefully, it doesn't work against them because it's harder to sneak up on people than it was before.
Yahoo! -- Rank: 27
The Cardinals aren't the worst team in football, as was expected before the season. But they're still 1-4. And now they don't have an inside track to get the first overall draft pick. Still, rookie head coach Jonathan Gannon instilling a competitive culture, unlike some of the other 1-4 teams, has value moving forward.
PFT -- Rank: 28
They'll always have that win over the Cowboys.
