Tennessee Titans Week 6 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 6 roundup for the Tennessee Titans in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 23

Fantasy surprise: WR Treylon Burks

Burks looked like a much-improved version of himself when he reported to training camp this summer. The second-year receiver exuded confidence and it was clear that he committed to refining his physique during the offseason. The way Burks was catching everything during training camp made it seem like a big season was on the horizon. Then he suffered a sprained LCL that kept him out for 12 days. But he managed to start the first two games of the season before missing Weeks 4 and 5. Burks has six receptions for 99 yards and no touchdowns in two games this season. -- Turron Davenport

The Titans' seesaw season continued with another road loss following Week 4's home victory; they're now 0-3 outside Nashville. If there was a shocking takeaway from Sunday, it was that Indianapolis bullied Tennessee and kind of beat Mike Vrabel at his own game. Losing both lines of scrimmage while also losing the turnover battle and going 1-for-4 in the red zone is a tried-and-true path to defeat. I'd argue it was less stunning that Derrick Henry and the ground game stalled; we've seen that happen before. But what about the Titans' vaunted run defense? It was steamrolled by the Colts, who almost netted more rushing yards (193) in this game than Tennessee allowed in the previous three games combined (211).

CBS Sports -- Rank: 17

The defense had a rough day against the Colts. That was surprising. At 2-3, it's not been a great start to the season. Now they face a tough game against the Ravens in London.

USA Today -- Rank: 19

WR DeAndre Hopkins' 100-yard day courtesy of Ryan Tannehill was the 11th time he's topped the century mark with a different quarterback. Get a C-note with two more passers, and Nuk sets a league record ... so might be worthy lobbying for playing time for Malik Willis and rookie Will Levis.

The Athletic -- Rank: 24

The splashiest addition of the offseason, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (who was added through free agency) is 15th in the NFL with 356 yards on 26 catches. First-round pick Peter Skoronski won the starting left guard job in Week 1, but he missed three games after an emergency appendectomy before returning Sunday. Third-round running back Tyjae Spears has 156 yards on 27 carries, but second-round quarterback Will Levis has been a disappointment thus far, failing to push Ryan Tannehill for the starting job and slipping to third team at times.

FOX -- Rank: 24

Tennessee has traded wins and losses for five straight weeks, which feels like a hallmark of a mediocre team. Disappointing to see them surrender 193 rushing yards — and it wasn't even to Jonathan Taylor. They are currently stuck in NFL purgatory.

Yahoo! -- Rank: 26

With about eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Titans had fourth-and-1 from the Colts' 5-yard line. That's a conversion Derrick Henry has made many times in his career. This time, he was stuffed for no gain and the Colts went on to win. Henry's yards per carry is a career low 3.8, a half-yard lower than any other average he has posted since 2017, and he's losing snaps to rookie Tyjae Spears. Henry showed in Week 4 he's still capable of big games but it seems like we've entered a different phase of his career.

PFT -- Rank: 20

They'll be up and down all year long.
