Offensive tackle is the strength of the Los Angeles Chargers offensive line as they have one of the best tackle tandems (Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt) in the NFL.
Unfortunately, their offense was dealt a huge blow on Thursday as Slater will miss the entire 2025 NFL season.
Rashawn Slater sustained a torn patellar tendon in today’s practice and will undergo surgery to repair the injury.

He will miss the 2025 season and be placed on Injured Reserve.
Heading into the season, PFF ranked their offensive line as the 10th-best unit and noted the question marks on the interior as Zion Johnson has not lived up to his draft pedigree, but hopefully Mekhi Becton, who played well last year for the Philadelphia Eagles, will help solidify the middle of the offensive line.
Alt will shift to left tackle, and swing tackle Trey Pipkins III will fill in on the right side.
