Green Bay Packers 2019 Fantasy Football Projections

In addition to viewing our 2019 Fantasy Football Projections by position, we will post our preseason projections per team.

Below you will find our 2019 fantasy football projections for the Green Bay Packers.

QUARTERBACKS

PlayerAtt.Comp.YardsTDINTRushYardsTDPoints
Aaron Rodgers557.4358.14152.630.18.0849.7258.41.69306.32
Since 2008, Rodgers has played at least 15 games in nine of 11 seasons. In those nine full seasons, he has finished no worse than fantasy's QB7 and he has finished as a top-two fantasy quarterback seven times. Assuming good health, he's about as safe as it gets in terms of fantasy quarterbacks.

RUNNING BACKS

PlayerAtt.YardsTDRec.YardsTDPoints
Aaron Jones200.9954.39.9437.1278.31.11189.56
Injuries and/or suspensions have cost Jones eight games in his first two seasons (four each). Missing Weeks 1 and 2 and 16 and 17, Jones averaged 5.5 yards per carry on his opportunities in between for a second consecutive season. During that span, he was a top-15 back in both PPR and standard-scoring formats. A solid RB2 entering 2019, Jones has RB1 upside if he can stay on the field for most of the season.
Jamaal Williams109.4443.12.7919.41630.7882.03
Through two NFL seasons, Williams has averaged a pedestrian 3.72 YPC -- nearly two yards per carry less than Jones. As noted earlier, Jones has missed a quarter of a season both years, so there could be an opportunity for Williams to pick up the (workload) void if Jones were to miss time again.

WIDE RECEIVERS

PlayerRec.YardsTDRushYardsTDPoints
Davante Adams93.41162.811.21000183.54
Adams set career highs across the board -- 111 catches on 169 targets for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns. While it was his first 1,000-yard season, Adams extended his streak of seasons with double-digit touchdowns to three. Over the next several seasons, Adams will be a perennial threat to lead the position in fantasy points as the clear No. 1 wide receiver for Aaron Rodgers.
Geronimo Allison52.6710.14.341.680.0297.97
Typically, the No. 2 wideout in a Rodgers-led offense has plenty of fantasy viability and that was the case for Allison before injuries cut his 2018 short. Allison had 64-plus yards each week through Week 4 with a 19/289/2 line on 29 targets as a top-25 performer (WR28 in PPR) over that span. There is upside compared to his current ADP if he's able to maintain good health.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling44.5640.84.01160.0188.8
Productive as a rookie, Valdes-Scantling saw expanded opportunities due to injuries and finished with 38 catches for 581 yards and a two touchdowns. Among 72 qualifiers, he had the league's third-best separation rate (per PFF). Generating plenty of buzz this offseason, a breakout could be in the cards if MVS enters 2019 as the team's No. 2 receiver behind Adams (and ahead of Allison).
Equanimeous St. Brown26.7387.22.141.260.0152.22

TIGHT ENDS

PlayerRec.YardsTDRushYardsTDPoints
Jimmy Graham47.2533.44.4800080.22
The 55 catches, 89 targets and 636 yards weren't the problem; the two touchdowns were. A year removed from double-digit touchdowns, Graham scored just two touchdowns. Aside from an 11-game season (2015), it was the only other time in his career that he finished with less than five scores.
Jace Sternberger25.2307.41.700040.94
A rookie-season fantasy impact is unlikely to be felt, but Sternberger gives Aaron Rodgers and the Packers a long-term solution at the position beyond Graham.

2018 Fantasy Football Projections: Green Bay Packers

In addition to viewing our 2018 Fantasy Football Projections by position, we will post our preseason projections per team.

Below you will find our 2018 fantasy football projections for the Green Bay Packers.

Quarterbacks

PlayerAtt.Comp.YardsTDINTRushYardsTDFLPoints
Aaron Rodgers567.3368.7408534.69.650.7263.62.22.4317.36
Since becoming the starter in 2008, Rodgers has missed roughly a half-season twice (2013 and 2017). In the other eight seasons, he has finished as either the QB1 or QB2 in fantasy football seven times. Assuming good health, Rodgers is a virtual lock for a top-two season. The only concern with Rodgers or any quarterback selected early is the lost opportunity to acquire an impact player at a position of greater scarcity/value. Outside of 2-QB or deep leagues, I'm unlikely to draft Rodgers before another owner.

Running Backs

PlayerAtt.YardsTDRec.YardsTDFLPoints
Jamaal Williams174.3723.35.922.1174.61.50.2133.79
Due to other injuries at running back, only three running backs had more carries than Williams (122) from Week 10 on -- Melvin Gordon (137), Frank Gore (134) and LeSean McCoy (130). That said, Williams averaged only 3.6 yards per carry as a rookie. With Aaron Jones suspended the first two games and Ty Montgomery dealing with a foot injury, Williams will have a chance to pick up where he left off.
Ty Montgomery76.2335.3338.3314.11.50.291.54
Before sustaining a Week 4 ribs injury, Montgomery had 59 touches (41 carries and 18 receptions), which was tied for eighth-most over the first three games of the season. Missing half of last season, Montgomery could be used more as a "hybrid player" in 2018, but it also wouldn't be a surprise if he were to get a much larger workload than I currently project.
Aaron Jones97.6444.13.316.6112.90.30.276.9
Jones had a pair of 100-yard games with touchdowns from Weeks 5 to 7 and averaged almost two more yards per carry than Williams (5.5 to 3.6) last season. Unfortunately he'll begin the season serving a two-game suspension, which could allow Williams to potentially run away with the lead-back role.

With double-digit touchdowns in back-to-back seasons, Adams has produced 149/1,882/22 over the past two years. With Jordy Nelson now in Oakland, Adams will have an opportunity to improve upon his top-12 (or 14th in PPR) 2017 performance as the No. 1 receiver for Aaron Rodgers.
Randall Cobb73.5771.86.610.741.70.10.1121.35
Since exceeding 800-plus yards in his three healthy seasons from 2012 to 2015, Cobb has 600-something yards in back-to-back seasons. Given a secure WR2 role (minus some late-August trade rumors), however, Cobb should bounce back provided that he and Rodgers can stay healthy.
