Jacksonville Jaguars 2019 Fantasy Football Projections

In addition to viewing our 2019 Fantasy Football Projections by position, we will post our preseason projections per team.

Below you will find our 2019 fantasy football projections for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

QUARTERBACKS

Nick Foles542.6344.63825.320.0811.3937.478.50.37220.62
Now on his fourth NFL club, Foles is a fringe QB2 in two-QB fantasy leagues, but his signing provides a boost for Jacksonville's skill-position players. During his five seasons with the Jags, no quarterback has thrown more interceptions (75) or pick-sixes (13) than Blake Bortles, who has completed just 59.3 of his career pass attempts. Cutting down the number of drive-killing drives should especially help Leonard Fournette and the team's run-first offense.

RUNNING BACKS

PlayerAtt.YardsTDRec.YardsTDPoints
Leonard Fournette281.31097.19.8546.5390.61.4216.27
Durability (11 missed games in two seasons) and inefficiency (career 3.7 YPC) are negatives, but there are some reasons for optimism. A true workhorse, Fournette has averaged nearly 20 carries per game (19.09) when he's been active and the team should sustain more drives with improved quarterback play. Not only did their offensive line battle a bunch of injuries last season, they got a steal with right tackle Jawaan Taylor in the second round. Plus, Fournette could be more involved in the passing game as well.

WIDE RECEIVERS

PlayerRec.YardsTDRushYardsTDPoints
Dede Westbrook70.6811.95.34.725.90115.58
In a healthy sophomore campaign, Westbrook led the Jags with a 66/717/5 receiving line on 101 targets and added 98 rushing yards. Despite quality quarterback play, Westbrook still managed to finish as a top-35 wide receiver in 2018. Given the upgrade at quarterback, Westbrook is a nice value that should outperform his current ADP (WR48 at FFC).
Marqise Lee66831.63.3746.20107.58
Lee missed all of 2018 and it's possible that he won't be ready for the start of training camp. That said, his 2019 status for the opener doesn't appear to be in jeopardy. A potential slow start as he returns from his ACL tear combined with his lack of touchdowns (eight in 53 games) means he's not much more than a low-upside WR4 despite the upgrade at quarterback.

TIGHT ENDS

PlayerRec.YardsTDRushYardsTDPoints
Josh Oliver24266.41.4400035.28
While rookie tight ends tend to struggle, the Jags used a top-70 selection on Oliver, who has earned some praise from the coaching staff during offseason workouts. Given the lack of competition on the roster, Oliver appears to be the odds-on favorite to lead the position group in fantasy points, but he's unlikely to be a useful fantasy asset in 2019 outside of really deep leagues.
