The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?
Practice, of course!
Leading up to the start of the 2020 NFL season, we will use the 2020 Fantasy Football Mock Draft Simulator (powered by FantasyPros) to complete fantasy football mock drafts.
We will use a variety of scoring formats -- PPR, half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues, league sizes and draft slots. The goal is to give you a good representation of the team that you may be able to construct given your league settings and the rationale of why we made the picks we did.

That said, nothing beats practicing yourself so (check out the simulator) and complete a mock in a matter of minutes.
Without further ado, here are the picks of our 12-team 2020 fantasy football mock draft using PPR scoring with the 10th pick:
1.10 - Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
Perhaps a bit of a surprise for some as the first running back off the board, Edwards-Helaire has drawn comparisons to (a better version of) Brian Westbrook (by head coach Andy Reid) and lands in an ideal long-term spot for his fantasy value. With Damien Williams opting out of the 2020 season, it boosts CEH's short-term (i.e., 2020) outlook and catapults him into the (upper?) RB1 range. It wasn't that long ago that fantasy owners saw what a prominently-featured rookie running back (Kareem Hunt, RB3, 2017) could do in an Reid-led offense.
2.03 - Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons
The obvious knock on Jones has been his lack of red-zone production as he still has just one season (2012) with double-digit touchdowns. That said, Jones now has 1,394 receiving yards in six consecutive seasons; the only other active streak is two (Michael Thomas, WR1). Over the past six seasons, Jones has averaged a receiving line of 103.8/1,564.7/6.2.
3.10 - Adam Thielen, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Even though I have Robert Woods ranked higher than Thielen, there was a greater chance of getting both Thielen (our WR12) and Woods (our WR10) by taking Thielen first. (See Pick Predictor graphic.) Thielen played just 16 snaps from Weeks 7-14 last year. Before leaving Week 7 early, Thielen was a top-10 fantasy wide receiver (WR9) through Week 6. The former UDFA was also a top-10 fantasy wide receiver in 2018 (WR7) and 2017 (WR10). With Stefon Diggs out and rookie Justin Jefferson in, Thielen enters 2020 as the team's clear No. 1 wide receiver for the upcoming season.
4.03 - Robert Woods, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Woods scored only three touchdowns -- two receiving and one rushing -- in 2019, but he posted very similar numbers in other categories -- 9.3 targets per game (8.1 in 2018), 6.0 receptions (5.4) and 75.6 yards (76.2) last season. After the team's bye (Week 9), Woods had a minimum of nine targets every week and averaged 11.3 per game to yield 7.4/94.7/0.3 receiving per game. Woods is one of my favorite WR targets in fantasy drafts this year.

5.10 - Melvin Gordon, RB, Denver Broncos
It was a surprising move for Gordon to stay in the division as the Broncos already had a back-to-back 1,000-yard rusher that is also a capable receiver out of the backfield. Even so, "the belief" is that MG3 will be the team's "bell cow," but's he's had some early challenges adjusting to Denver's altitude.
6.03 - Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys
Shattering previous career highs as a passer, Prescott threw for 4,902 yards and 30 touchdowns and only Lamar Jackson scored more fantasy points in 2019. With CeeDee Lamb slipping to Dallas in the draft, the trio of Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Lamb give Prescott one of the league's best trio of pass-catchers. Dak's rushing ability -- 277-plus rushing yards every year and 21 scores in four seasons -- raises his fantasy floor.
7.10 - Jamison Crowder, WR, New York Jets
Crowder led the Jets in targets (122), receptions (78), yards (833) and touchdowns (six) last season. With Robby Anderson and Demaryius Thomas no longer on the roster, Crowder could be even better in 2020 if Sam Darnold can stay healthy. The slot receiver's ADP has been steadily rising in August.
8.03 - Raheem Mostert, RB, San Francisco 49ers
Mostert was terrific down the stretch, scoring in all but one of his final nine games counting the postseason including a 29/220/4 rushing performance in the NFC Championship Game. Even so, Kyle Shanahan prefers a hot-hand approach at running back and the team still has a crowded backfield room even without Matt Breida, who is now in Miami.
9.10 - Tarik Cohen, RB, Chicago Bears
The Human Joystick set career lows in efficiency (3.3 YPC and 5.8 Y/R), but he set career highs in both targets (104) and receptions (79). Given his role in the passing game, Cohen is a much better option in (full) PPR formats as he's finished no worse than RB30 in PPR scoring -- 27th in 2019, 11th in 2018 and 30th in 2017 -- over his three NFL seasons.
10.03 - Preston Williams, WR, Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins made a number of roster improvements through free agency and the draft, but there were no significant additions in terms of pass-catchers. In fact, the group is worse off with Wilson and Hurns opting out. More talented (four-star high school recruit) than his UDFA status (due to off-field reasons) would imply, Williams made an immediate impact for the Dolphins with 32/428/3 in eight games before tearing his ACL. After observing training camp practices open to reporters, Adam Beasley from the Miami Herald wrote that Williams may be "potentially better than ever."
11.10 - Hunter Henry, TE, Los Angeles Chargers
One of the league's most talented tight ends, Henry has played just 26 games over the past three seasons combined. That said, he set career highs in his age-25 season in targets (76), receptions (55) and yards (652) in just 12 games.
12.03 - Hayden Hurst, TE, Atlanta Falcons
Hurst doubled his production in 2019 to 30/349/2, but that paled in comparison to (now former) teammate Mark Andrews. Hurst's trade to Atlanta does wonders for his fantasy outlook as Austin Hooper signed a free-agent deal with Cleveland. Before Hooper's mid-season injury, he was fantasy's top-scoring tight end and finished second behind Julio Jones in team targets.
13.10 - Chase Edmonds, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Edmonds played 60 snaps (94%) against the Giants in Week 8 and exploded for 150 YFS and three touchdowns on 29 touches. Missing all of November and playing only 15 offensive snaps in December, the third-year back out of Fordham enters 2020 as Kenyan Drake's primary handcuff.
14.03 - Justin Jackson, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
The former seventh-round pick out of Northwestern, Jackson is in a battle with Joshua Kelley to be the team's primary early-down complement to Ekeler. Even though Melvin Gordon skipped the first four games of the season, both Ekeler and Gordon finished as top-24 backs so if either Jackson or Kelley can take solid hold of the RB2 role, they have flex upside.

16.03 - Greg Zuerlein, K, Dallas Cowboys
