The Athletic -- Rank: 15
What we learned: Their offense works. The social media clips on Twitter circulated early Monday night as Derek Carr failed to pull the trigger on downfield opportunities. And to be fair, that criticism is warranted. But Carr continues to have an excellent grasp of Jon Gruden's offense. The Raiders finished ninth in offensive efficiency last season and are third in EPA per snap through two games. The Saints had no answer for Darren Waller, who finished with 12 catches for 103 yards, and the Raiders scored on six of their final seven possessions. The defense has a long way to go, but the Raiders are 2-0 and are going to be a competitive team all season.

Jon Gruden has this team at 2-0 and playing good offensive football. They dominated the Saints Monday night.
USA Today -- Rank: 14
QB Derek Carr is playing highly efficient football, sledgehammer RB Josh Jacobs also contributing heavily to Vegas' average time of possession of 34 minutes. Appears betting on (Silver and) Black is a smart proposition.

Under-the-radar fantasy standout: RB Jalen Richard
Under the radar, for a guy whose primary role is to catch passes out of the backfield and had 60 receptions in 2018? Well, yeah. You see, with running back Josh Jacobs adding the pass-catching game to his repertoire, teams might forget about Richard -- and that's where he could be awakened by Jon Gruden and Derek Carr. Especially if and when teams start putting spies on Jacobs in the flat. Reintroducing Richard, then. -- Paul Gutierrez

What a night for the Raiders, who opened their new stadium in Vegas with an all-around effort against the Saints to move to 2-0 on the season. Derek Carr threw three touchdown passes and found a warm security blanket in tight end Darren Waller, who hauled in 12 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. The Raiders' offense scored on six of their final seven possessions, and the defense settled down after a bumpy start to limit a Saints attack missing star wideout Michael Thomas. Finally, let's give some love to Daniel Carlson, who capped a great bounce-back week for kickers across the league with a 54-yard field goal to ice the game. The Death Star is open for business.
