Throughout the 2020 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the Cleveland Browns rank in terms of average, best and worst:

  • Average ranking: 19.6 (19th)
  • Best ranking: 17th (NFL.com)
  • Worst ranking: 23rd (ESPN)

Below you will find a Week 3 roundup for the Browns in our consensus 2020 NFL Power Rankings.

The Athletic -- Rank: 18

What we learned: They may have the league's best one-two punch at running back. Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt ran all over the Bengals in the Browns' Thursday night win, piling up 210 yards on 32 carries. But perhaps most impressive was how they picked up those yards. Chubb and Hunt had 149 yards after contact, which is the most for a team's running backs in a game this season. The Browns' offense took possession with 5:55 left, up 28-23. They ran the ball six straight times and went 75 yards for a touchdown to put the game away. Aside from one interception, Baker Mayfield played well too. The Brown' offensive success this year will be all about marrying the zone run game to the pass game.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 19

Their running game was impressive against the Bengals, which helped Baker Mayfield. They actually looked good in beating Cincinnati.

USA Today -- Rank: 21

You won't find a better tailback duo than Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, who are collectively averaging 6.2 yards per carry.

ESPN -- Rank: 23

Under-the-radar fantasy standout: RB Kareem Hunt

Despite backing up starter Nick Chubb, Hunt has been an integral part of the Browns' offense. He is averaging 79 yards rushing per game at almost 7 yards per carry. Hunt also has been a threat as a receiver, including a TD grab Thursday. That kind of steady production could be useful out of the flex. -- Jake Trotter

NFL.com -- Rank: 17

The Browns have a formula. Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt were dominant against the Bengals on Thursday Night Football, combining for 210 yards on the ground in a 35-30 win that breathes life back into the team after Week 1's grim result against the Ravens. The berserker act on the ground put Baker Mayfield in a much more comfortable position, and he responded with a strong performance that evoked memories of his standout rookie season. The question is this: Can this ground-and-pound act be replicated against a stronger team than the rebuilding Bengals? Washington's fearsome front presents a greater test in Week 3.
