New York Jets Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the New York Jets in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 18

Non-QB MVP: RB Breece Hall

It's simple math: The Jets are 4-0 when Hall scores a touchdown. Going back to last season, it's 8-0. Running as if last year's ACL surgery never happened, Hall was leading the NFL in yards per carry (5.7) at the start of Week 9. The Jets' offense is out of balance because of a subpar passing game, causing opponents to overplay the run, but that hasn't stopped Hall from being the home run threat they haven't had in more than a decade. -- Rich Cimini

NFL.com -- Rank: 18

There's just not much positive spin you can put on the Jets' offensive performance Monday against a Chargers defense which hadn't looked that good since it faced a since-fired coach (Josh McDaniels) and a fourth-round rookie making his first start (Aidan O'Connell). Zach Wilson had been trending in a relatively positive direction, but this game stunted that. There were impressive flashes here and there, but two early fumbles and a host of missed throws cost the Jets dearly in a home game that you have to figure they felt confident about winning coming in. But if Breece Hall or Garrett Wilson aren't creating magic, this offense has very little hope these days, especially when it allows eight sacks.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 20

The offense is too limited without Aaron Rodgers. The offensive line is awful and Zach Wilson isn't good enough.

USA Today -- Rank: 18

Only one team in the league has yet to score on its opening drive this season. Take a guess. The NYJ have eight offensive TDs this season, two fewer than Miami had ... in Week 3.

The Athletic -- Rank: 24

Report card: C-plus

How do you not have a better backup plan when you sign a 39-year-old quarterback? The Jets loaded up this season, building a dynamite defense and getting running back Breece Hall back from injury. Aaron Rodgers' injury is not New York's fault, but not having a better Plan B than Zach Wilson is. The Jets knew Wilson was what they saw again Monday night, which resulted in seven punts and another wasted defensive effort. New York leads the NFL with 5.88 punts per game.

FOX -- Rank: 18

Was that stretch of decent Zach Wilson play just a mirage? It sure as hell feels like it. We're back to the toxic vibes from last season, as the quarterback position is now again holding back an otherwise solid team. Robert Saleh says he won't make a change, but is that the truth?

Yahoo! -- Rank: 17

The Jets' defense leading New York to the playoffs is a fun fantasy, but it's hard to believe it's possible. The Jets are unwatchable on offense. A 27-6 loss, with the Jets' defense playing incredibly well and holding a good Chargers offense to 191 yards, is disheartening.

PFT -- Rank: 19

Will Aaron Rodgers make much of a difference if they can't block for him?

Philadelphia Eagles Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the Philadelphia Eagles in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 1

Non-QB MVP: WR A.J. Brown

Brown has been one of the league's most impactful players over the first half. He made history by becoming the first to go for 125-plus receiving yards in six consecutive games. He also set a new team mark for quickest player to 1,000 yards receiving (nine games). "He's on an unbelievable historic tear right now," said offensive coordinator Brian Johnson, "and it's a testament to him, who he is as a person, to how serious he is about perfecting his craft and making the most of his opportunities." -- Tim McManus

NFL.com -- Rank: 1

Philadelphia remains the class of the NFC -- and, for now, the league. Sunday's nail-biter win might have paved the road to the No. 1 seed in the conference and the bye that comes with it, but it also highlighted the luck factor. Dak Prescott sliced up the Eagles' embattled secondary. Luke Schoonmaker's fourth-down catch in the fourth quarter was inches from being a touchdown. Dallas scored on the subsequent drive, but Prescott's foot was out of bounds by about the same distance on a two-point conversion attempt. Philly fumbled three times and recovered the ball each time, including when D'Andre Swift coughed it up with a minute left. It felt like Dallas outplayed the Eagles over the course of 60 minutes, but Philly finished more effectively than the Cowboys -- an area where the Eagles have been better than Dallas all season. Perhaps that intangible skill is the their superpower.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 1

They beat the Cowboys, but they have to be concerned about their defense. It's having issues stopping teams. Jalen Hurts is also limited by his knee injury.

USA Today -- Rank: 2

The league's only 8-1 team, and the first to replicate such a start in consecutive seasons since Peyton Manning's Indianapolis heyday in 2006. But with gimpy QB Jalen Hurts still dragging his leg around, the bye week has arrived at a perfect time — not to mention Philly has Kansas City, Buffalo, San Francisco, Dallas and Seattle in succession on the other side of the break. Though perhaps no worry, Hurts matching Manning's mark (2008-10) with 12 consecutive regular-season wins against opponents with winning records.

The Athletic -- Rank: 2

Report card: A

Philadelphia fans are not going to be happy falling a spot after a win over the Cowboys. That's fair, but the Eagles were outgained 406-292 by Dallas on Sunday, and there are a couple of areas of concern to monitor. The Eagles have averaged fewer than 100 rushing yards in their last four games (86.8), and they are 20th in the NFL in yards per play allowed (5.3). Big picture though, they are 24-5 dating to 2022 and have established themselves as the clear favorite in the NFC.

FOX -- Rank: 1

It's always different, it's always stressful, but the Eagles win — wash, rinse, repeat. The box score isn't going to indicate the Eagles defense played particularly well against Dallas, but the way they consistently turned the Cowboys away from the end zone was impressive. The versatility and adaptability of this team are what stands out to me more than anything else going on in the NFL right now.

Yahoo! -- Rank: 2

Josh Sweat is having a great season for the Eagles. He has had at least a half-sack in six of Philadelphia's nine games. His 6.5 sacks are second on the Eagles behind Haason Reddick at 7.5. He had 11 sacks last season and is better this season. Sweat's sack on Dak Prescott in the final 30 seconds Sunday was a massive play in a huge win. Sweat was a fourth-round draft pick in 2018 and has been an absolute steal.

PFT -- Rank: 1

After the bye, they've got four solid tests.

Seattle Seahawks Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the Seattle Seahawks in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 12

Non-QB MVP: OLB Boye Mafe

Mafe would be the choice even if quarterbacks were included. He has taken the biggest second-year leap of anyone from the Seahawks' stellar 2022 draft class, recording a full sack in six straight games to tie the longest streak in franchise history. In seven games, he already has doubled his sack total from his rookie season. Mafe's sack Sunday against Baltimore forced a fumble that Seattle recovered. He ranks third in PRWR among edge players this season, behind only Micah Parsons and Myles Garrett, according to ESPN Analytics/NFL Next Gen Stats. -- Brady Henderson

NFL.com -- Rank: 12

Things looked fine for a bit in Baltimore, and then the avalanche hit. The Ravens even gave the Seahawks two fumbles in the first half, but Seattle scored zero points off the turnovers, with Geno Smith fumbling the second possession right back to Baltimore. It's getting harder to look past Smith's scuffles, as he's now logged eight turnovers in his past four starts. It's certainly not all on him; his offensive line struggled, and Seattle's defense produced plenty of face-palm plays, jumping offsides on fourth-and-1 and missing umpteen tackles. But to me, Smith's cold snap cracks the door on a discussion of whether Pete Carroll might have to consider going to Drew Lock at some point. We're not there yet -- the next two are winnable. However, a daunting 49ers-Cowboys-49ers-Eagles cluster awaits between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 11

It was not a good trip to Baltimore for this group. They just didn't look like a team that went in 5-2, getting dominated in all areas.

USA Today -- Rank: 12

Would not have expected the acquisition of DE Leonard Williams to coincide with Seattle surrendering 37 points and 515 yards.

The Athletic -- Rank: 9

Report card: B-plus

Adding defensive tackle Leonard Williams at the trade deadline didn't have the desired effect, at least immediately. Seattle was eighth in the NFL in rushing yards allowed (96.9 per game) entering Sunday's game. Baltimore rushed for 298, the second-most surrendered by any team in a game this season. Still, we'll give Pete Carroll the benefit of the doubt on defense, and the Seahawks still are tied for the NFC West lead.

FOX -- Rank: 12

Take a seat next to Detroit, Seattle. The Seahawks are the latest NFC contender to be personally victimized by the Baltimore Ravens — and somehow this might've been worse than what happened to the Lions. What's more depressing: giving up 298 rushing yards on defense or managing just six first downs in an entire game?

Yahoo! -- Rank: 12

Many of the Seahawks' problems Sunday can be attributed to the Ravens, who did the same things to the Lions a few weeks ago. But one thing that needs to be fixed is DK Metcalf. The Seahawks have one of the best receivers in the NFL and he's not having nearly the impact he should. He has a middling 28-454-2 line this season. Metcalf had one catch on Sunday. The Seahawks need to get him more targets and catches. Getting him back on track is the difference between the Seahawks competing with the 49ers for a division title or falling out of that race.

PFT -- Rank: 10

Drew Lock inches closer to getting a shot to not turn the ball over.

Los Angeles Rams Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the Los Angeles Rams in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 26

Non-QB MVP: DT Aaron Donald

The Rams have had to rely on their defense this season, and the young group has played better than expected. With a lot of new faces after the departures of veterans, including cornerback Jalen Ramsey and linebacker Bobby Wagner, the unit has been led by Donald. And the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year has shown up on the stat sheet, too. Entering Week 10, he ranked third in the NFL in pass rush win rate for defensive tackles. Donald had a sack on Sunday against the Packers, giving him 5.5 on the season. -- Sarah Barshop

NFL.com -- Rank: 27

If Matthew Stafford misses more time, it's hard to see a path for this team pulling itself out its three-game skid after the Week 10 bye. The good news is that they'll have additional time to potentially try adding to the QB room. Brett Rypien has completed less than half his passes and averaged 4.5 yards per attempt in two relief appearances for Stafford. He also lost a big fumble early in Sunday's loss to the Packers. It's hard to sustain drives with that kind of QB production in an offense predicated on getting the ball to Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua downfield. Both were quieted by a young Green Bay secondary. Credit the Rams' plucky but undermanned defense for keeping the game close on the road, but the team's limitations without a healthy No. 9 are just too glaring right now.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 24

They showed against Green Bay how limited they are without Matt Stafford. They head to their bye on a three-game losing streak.

USA Today -- Rank: 23

They've gone 1-4 since the return of WR Cooper Kupp, who's been held to fewer than 50 receiving yards in each contest of LA's three-game losing streak.

The Athletic -- Rank: 26

Report card: C

With Brett Rypien starting in place of injured Matt Stafford (thumb), the Rams gained 187 yards. That's their second-lowest total since 2020. (The lowest was 156 yards against the Packers last season with Baker Mayfield at quarterback.) Los Angeles has a bye this week, and Stafford could come back in Week 11. Stetson Bennett, who was drafted in the fourth round, remains on the non-football injury list and is not likely to return this season, Sean McVay said.

FOX -- Rank: 25

You had to figure it'd be a rough day for the Rams without Matthew Stafford, so I'm not going to judge them too harshly for that. They get the bye week to recuperate, but if Stafford's injury goes much longer than that, this starts to look like another very ugly season in L.A.

Yahoo! -- Rank: 27

After a promising start, the Rams have lost four of five. The win was over the Cardinals. Over the past two weeks they've lost by 23 and 17 points. Even the great Cooper Kupp has been disappointing lately, with 29, 21 and 48 yards in his past three games, without a touchdown in any of them. The Rams have a bye and that will help, but they're probably not going to be relevant the rest of the season.

PFT -- Rank: 27

When all else fails, polish the Super Bowl LVI trophy.

New York Giants Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the New York Giants in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 29

Non-QB MVP: DT Dexter Lawrence II

Lawrence is tied for seventh in the NFL with 14 quarterback hits. That's not supposed to happen from the nose tackle position. He has been the Giants' best and most consistent player by a wide margin, in part because almost all of their other top players have been injured at some point early this season. -- Jordan Raanan

NFL.com -- Rank: 30

With Daniel Jones' ACL tear coming in a loss to a team led by an interim head coach and rookie QB, the Giants' nightmare season has darkened even further than might have seemed possible. With Jones out indefinitely and Tyrod Taylor on injured reserve, Tommy DeVito overcame some rough early moments to put forward a respectable effort, and the run blocking helped spring Saquon Barkley to his best rushing average (5.6) of the season. But it's tough to summon too much excitement, with injuries crushing any hope of offensive growth and the reality of a high draft pick incoming. Sunday felt like the first time you could fairly have a conversation about the future under center, with Jones' long-term health clouding the picture and some tempting QB prospects possibly being within reach come April.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 30

With Daniel Jones out now with a knee injury, it's time to tank. Maybe they can get one of the top guys next year.

USA Today -- Rank: 31

You have to feel for injured QB Daniel Jones. You also have to feel like New York probably has buyer's remorse after extending him in the offseason. Now they might be one of, say, a dozen teams having to reconsider its QB1 plans going into 2024.

The Athletic -- Rank: 29

Report card: F

It's gotten so bad that the Giants aren't even fun to pick on anymore. Daniel Jones returned from a neck injury Sunday and promptly suffered a season-ending ACL tear. Backup quarterback Tommy DeVito gives New York a great chance to get into the top-two pick conversation, but would the Giants take a quarterback high after giving Jones a big contract in the offseason? The answer is probably yes because New York can get out of the deal relatively cheaply ($22.2 million in dead money) after next season.

FOX -- Rank: 32

At least Arizona and Carolina knew ahead of time they were likely in for tough seasons. The Giants had playoff aspirations in September, and now Daniel Jones' ACL twists the knife on what has been one of the worst years imaginable.

Yahoo! -- Rank: 31

The Giants are griping. They don't look like they have much fight. This all comes back to head coach Brian Daboll. The Giants might not win another game the rest of the season given their quarterback situation. But if they completely quit, it'll mean a lot of skepticism about Daboll going into Year 3.

PFT -- Rank: 29

Tommy DeVito doesn't deserve this.

New Orleans Saints Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the New Orleans Saints in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 15

Non-QB MVP: TE/QB Taysom Hill

Hill started the season listed as a TE, and is a quarterback sometimes -- but not enough for him to be disqualified here. He has been the best thing going the past three games as the Saints have started to come together on offense. Hill has helped fix the Saints' red zone issues with three rushing touchdowns, a receiving touchdown and a passing touchdown in the past three games. -- Katherine Terrell

NFL.com -- Rank: 13

The Saints continued one impressive streak and ended one bad one in Sunday's victory. Thanks to five Bears turnovers (three in the fourth quarter), New Orleans has now forced at least one turnover in each game this season. The Saints also ended a three-game turnover skid on offense, logging a clean sheet vs. Chicago. There just seems to be something missing with this team, given that it won the turnover battle 5-0 (5-1, if you count turnovers on downs) and still had to hang on late to win. The run defense struggled for a second week in a row and now faces swashbuckling Joshua Dobbs at Minnesota before the bye. Offensively, the Saints still seem to lack a true identity, but they've leaned in harder on the Taysom Hill package lately. Is this enough to take the NFC South? Maybe, but they still feel middling.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 14

They lead the NFC South after beating the Bears on Sunday. But they haven't come close to playing to their potential yet.

USA Today -- Rank: 22

Taysom Hill's 5.2 yards per rush are nearly 50% better than any of New Orleans' other regular ball carriers.

The Athletic -- Rank: 14

Report card: B

The Saints lead the NFC South, but that still doesn't equate to more than a B because of the state of the NFC South. All of New Orleans' wins have come against teams with losing records, and it was outgained by the Bears on Sunday (368 to 301). After Paulson Adebo's two interceptions against the Bears, the Saints lead the league in that category (12).

FOX -- Rank: 17

You'd like to think it'd be less stressful when you win the turnover battle 5-0. The Saints' offense still leaves a lot to be desired. And don't let the takeaways distract from the fact that the Bears moved the ball very well in New Orleans. Still, they're the only team in the NFC South that won in Week 9, and they're on top of their division.

Yahoo! -- Rank: 14

The Saints remain a strange team. With all the talent on hand, should Taysom Hill lead the team in carries and rushing yards in a too-close game against the Bears? Probably not. The Saints have as much blue-chip talent as anyone but never seem to put it all together. But with their weak remaining schedule and the continuing failures of the Falcons, the NFC South is there for the taking.

PFT -- Rank: 17

Taysom Hill keeps earning more touches.

Indianapolis Colts Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the Indianapolis Colts in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 21

Non-QB MVP: DT DeForest Buckner

You can portray Buckner's impact with numbers -- 5 sacks, 6 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles -- but that doesn't really reflect the true value of his presence. A better representation is the reality that Buckner easily commands more attention from offenses than any player on the Colts' defense. He is among the most frequently double-teamed players in the NFL this season in run and passing situations. And his ability to collapse the quarterback pocket as a pass-rusher has fueled the production of players around him like Kwity Paye and Samson Ebukam. -- Stephen Holder

NFL.com -- Rank: 19

Sunday's win over the Panthers was a big performance for the defense, regardless of the opponent. A week after the Saints -- the Saints! -- shredded the Colts for 511 yards and 38 points, the defense cranked up the pass rush and turned in its first three-pick game of the season. Kenny Moore II's two house calls gave one of the league's more underrated players some shine, and they provided the difference in the victory. I didn't realize how much Indianapolis' offense struggled offensively until I rewatched the game. The line looked shaky, and the Colts finished with four straight punts, not crossing midfield in the second half until the final kneeldowns. Indy has winnable games on the slate, but that kind of offensive execution isn't going to cut it.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 18

The defense came up big in beating the Panthers on the road with two Kenny Moore pick-six touchdowns. Their schedule is favorable in the second half.

USA Today -- Rank: 17

CB Kenny Moore II became the first player in franchise history with two pick-sixes in one game at a most opportune time. No Indianapolis player has multiple TD catches in a game this season.

The Athletic -- Rank: 20

Report card: B

Kenny Moore became the first Colt to return two interceptions for a touchdown in a game Sunday. That helped an offense that gained only 198 yards and helped Indianapolis keep its streak of scoring at least 20 points in every game this season alive. Since returning from his holdout/injury, Jonathan Taylor is 17th in the league with 50.8 yards per game.

FOX -- Rank: 23

Kenny Moore almost outscored the Panthers on his own Sunday, which indicates how easily the Colts dispatched Carolina. Imagine how intriguing the Colts would be if they were watching Anthony Richardson develop as this season went along. It's a bummer.

Yahoo! -- Rank: 19

The Colts' next three games are against the Patriots in Germany, vs. the Buccaneers and at the Titans. The Colts aren't a sure thing to beat anyone, but all three of those games are winnable. If the Colts can get to 7-5, it gives them a chance to dream about a wild-card berth, as unlikely as that seemed before the season started.

PFT -- Rank: 20

They'll relish a chance to stick the fork deeper into the Patriots.

Miami Dolphins Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the Miami Dolphins in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 4

Non-QB MVP: WR Tyreek Hill

Hill could be the MVP of the entire league, regardless of position. The league's leading receiver is on pace to break 2,000 receiving yards for the first time in NFL history and remains its premier downfield threat. While he has commanded a higher target share in 2023 than his previous season with the Dolphins, he has shown that he can handle the extra workload. The Dolphins' offense has slowed a bit from its pace to start the season, but Hill remains on track for yet another first-team All-Pro nomination. -- Marcel Louis-Jacques

NFL.com -- Rank: 6

Falling to the Bills, Eagles and Chiefs -- all outside of Miami -- brings no shame, but it's true that the Dolphins haven't beaten a quality team yet. That said, the loss to Kansas City in Germany wasn't a lost cause; the defense arguably played its best game, and the rushing attack showed signs of life despite the absence of De'Von Achane. Jalen Ramsey now has two games with this team under his belt, and the Week 9 returns of CB Xavien Howard and S Jevon Holland helped Miami hold the Chiefs to 67 second-half yards and Travis Kelce to his lowest receiving output in a game since 2018. If the offense can regain its firepower after the bye, the Dolphins will have a chance to change the can't-beat-a-good-team narrative down the stretch. Currently, five of their eight remaining games are against opponents who are .500 or better.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 8

They have to show they can beat a good team. It hasn't happened yet, so the questions are still there.

USA Today -- Rank: 10

For those keeping score at home, that's 39 points per game in their six wins (all against teams without winning records), and 17 per game in three losses — all against projected playoff squads.

The Athletic -- Rank: 7

Report card: B-plus

The Dolphins have played three teams this season that currently have a winning record. They are 0-3 and averaging 17 points per game in those games. Against everyone else, the Dolphins are 6-0 and averaging 39 points per game. Miami still leads the league with 435.3 yards per game, but it has been held under 300 yards by the Eagles and now the Chiefs in the last three weeks.

FOX -- Rank: 6

Am I being too easy on the Dolphins if I'm encouraged by the loss to Kansas City? Yes, a loss is still a loss. That was a much more inspired effort than what they showed against Buffalo and Philly. But they're going to have to find a way to top 20 points against their best competition.

Yahoo! -- Rank: 7

The story of the Dolphins' first half of the season is set: They're amazing against bad teams and can't beat any good teams. They don't have a win over a team that has a winning record. Sunday was a disappointing performance, being shut out in the first half by the Chiefs, then coming up short at the end. It's fine to beat up bad teams, but that won't take you too far in the playoffs.

PFT -- Rank: 6

They'll have several more chances this year to finally beat a good team.

San Francisco 49ers Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the San Francisco 49ers in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 8

Non-QB MVP: RB Christian McCaffrey

McCaffrey staked an early spot in the league MVP race, but an oblique injury in Week 6 has slowed that momentum a bit. Still, McCaffrey ranks in the top three in the league in scrimmage yards per game (118), total touchdowns (13) and rushing yards (652). He also has scored a touchdown in 17 straight games (including playoffs), tying him with Lenny Moore for the longest streak in NFL history. -- Nick Wagoner

NFL.com -- Rank: 7

The Week 9 bye provided a soft landing after a three-game losing streak, and it also helped give me some perspective on this team. The sky isn't falling, I suspect. Even taking into account all the issues that cropped up over the past month, there is still a path for the 49ers to get to the Super Bowl. Brock Purdy was playing at an MVP level before his three-game struggles, and with the eventual returns of Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams (who each missed the past two contests), Purdy can return to that level. The defense, which has struggled to pressure or cover consistently of late, also has help arriving in the form of trade acquisition Chase Young. The schedule remains thorny, but six of the Niners' remaining nine games come against teams currently below them on this list.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 9

They've lost three straight games and now face a tough trip to Jacksonville to play the Jaguars. Adding Chase Young will certainly help their cause.

USA Today -- Rank: 4

They just had the best off week in recent memory, acquiring DE Chase Young for a pittance, getting needed rest for injured LT Trent Williams and WR Deebo Samuel, and moving back into a first-place tie atop the NFC West following Seattle's blowout loss.

The Athletic -- Rank: 6

Report card: B-minus

A month ago, this was a solid A, but the 49ers have lost three straight games. They averaged 33.4 points in their first five games and started 5-0. They have scored 17 points in each of the last three weeks and lost all three of them. Quarterback Brock Purdy is shouldering a lot of the blame, but the running game might be the real culprit. From Week 6 through Week 9, San Francisco was 17th in the league in rushing (95.3 ypg). Before that, it was third (156.4 ypg).

FOX -- Rank: 8

I'm firm in my refusal to panic about the 49ers. History shows they're not immune to a downturn, but they tend to sort things out. They've added Chase Young to the mix, and it sounds like Deebo Samuel is coming back from his shoulder injury. I have a feeling they're going to be fine.

Yahoo! -- Rank: 5

What we've seen during the 49ers' swoon is how valuable Deebo Samuel is. With Samuel out, the offense hasn't looked the same. The 49ers are deep on offense but Samuel has skills that can't be replaced. It looks like Samuel should return this week, and the 49ers' dominant offense should return too.

PFT -- Rank: 5

That losing streak needs to end this weekend.

ESPN -- Rank: 17

Non-QB MVP: LT Laremy Tunsil

Tunsil continues to show the world he deserves to be in the conversation for the best left tackle in the NFL. He's third among tackles in PBWR (94.1%) and is one of the biggest reasons rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud has performed so well. Tunsil has anchored the protection around Stroud, who has been sacked only seven times in the past six games. -- DJ Bien-Aime

I regret not having the foresight to have claimed Bucs-Texans for our "What We Learned" assignments, so I missed it live. Watching the TV replay put me all in my feelings. Sunday had to be surreal for Texans fans, seeing C.J. Stroud shatter rookie passing marks, while the beloved Dare Ogunbowale earned his own unique place in history as a kicker. Sure, the Texans tripped over the garden hose at Carolina in Week 8, but this season already has been a massive, revitalizing success. Houston can make a legitimate stab at the postseason, with most remaining games looking like true toss-ups. Whether they get in or not, the Texans are big winners, because they have Stroud, Will Anderson Jr., Tank Dell and other members of a young, emerging nucleus of talent. To think, many thought losing the No. 1 pick in Week 18 last season was disastrous. The Texans are doing just fine for themselves, thank you very much.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 17

C.J. Stroud is proving to be the best of the rookie passers. He lit up the Bucs defense for more than 400 yards as the Texans evened their record at 4-4.

USA Today -- Rank: 15

After a weekend of shattering rookie passing records, Houston QB C.J. Stroud has another one in his sights. With 14 touchdown throws and one pick, he could annihilate Dak Prescott's mark (23 TDs, 4 INTs in 2016) for best TD-to-INT ratio among freshman passers.

The Athletic -- Rank: 15

Report card: A

Houston has its quarterback. That's an automatic A. On Sunday, C.J. Stroud set an NFL rookie record with 470 passing yards. He also threw five touchdowns (versus no interceptions), including the game-winner with six seconds remaining. He became the sixth player in NFL history to have more than 450 passing yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions in a game, according to ESPN Stats & Info. Overall, he is seventh in the league in passing yards (2,270) and third in yards per attempt (8.1).

FOX -- Rank: 13

He's been good all season, but we can officially anoint C.J. Stroud as a Dude, with a capital D. The most impressive thing about his NFL rookie record 470 passing yards is that he did it with no semblance of a run game to protect him. The Texans are bound to have more growing pains, but they've found their guy at QB and that's as big a win as you can ask for.

Yahoo! -- Rank: 16

The situation around C.J. Stroud isn't great. Nico Collins has talent but he had no consistency before this season. Robert Woods, who was supposed to be a steadying veteran presence, has been injured. Tank Dell is a rookie and not a first-rounder. The running game has done next to nothing. The offensive line dealt with multiple injuries, especially early in the season. There's some talent but it's worth noting that Stroud seems to be elevating everyone around him. That makes everything he's doing even more impressive.

PFT -- Rank: 16

They're finally learning how to win.

Kansas City Chiefs Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2023 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Below you will find a Week 10 roundup for the Kansas City Chiefs in our consensus 2023 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 2

Non-QB MVP: TE Travis Kelce

The Chiefs have several defenders playing well, but Kelce to a large extent has carried the passing game with the other receivers struggling. He has 25% of the Chiefs' catches (57) and 24% of their receiving yards (597). He returned from an ankle injury to be a key player in a Week 5 win over the Vikings. -- Adam Teicher

NFL.com -- Rank: 3

Sunday provided proof that Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce don't need to have their greatest games for the Chiefs to have a chance to win. This defense will give up some rushing yards and has snagged just five interceptions, but those are about the only bad things you can say about this unit. The 2019 and 2021 defenses finished seventh and eighth in the NFL, respectively, in points allowed. This year's group is better than both of those units -- it might even be good enough to carry this team in some of the tougher games left on the schedule. I'm not sure there's a better group of tackling defensive backs in this league right now. You might catch a pass against the Chiefs, but good luck getting much YAC after that. They swarm.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 4

The defense has really played well this season and showed it against Miami. The offense? It still doesn't have the Patrick Mahomes feel to it.

USA Today -- Rank: 3

Currently the AFC's top-seeded club (again), K.C. also hits its bye ahead of Week 11's Super Bowl rematch at Arrowhead against Philadelphia. The reigning AFC champs are surrendering just 15.9 points per game, lowest of the 11-season Andy Reid era.

The Athletic -- Rank: 3

Report card: B-plus

You can't have a loss to the Broncos in the last month and get an A. Sorry, these are the rules. Travis Kelce became Kansas City's all-time leading receiver Sunday in Germany (10,941 yards), but the story was the defense, which held the Dolphins 138 yards under their season average. The Chiefs are third in the NFL in defensive EPA per drive (.70), according to TruMedia. If there's a worry, it's that four of Kansas City's seven lowest offensive success rate games in the Patrick Mahomes era have come this season. Sunday was its third lowest in that span (36.1).

FOX -- Rank: 3

Let's stop wringing our hands about the Chiefs offense and start giving props to this Kansas City defense. There are so many young, fun dudes on this unit, and it's got to be exciting for Patrick Mahomes that he doesn't have to play like an MVP to stack together wins. When the offense does finally start clicking consistently, it's going to be a scary combination.

Yahoo! -- Rank: 3

The Chiefs' offense scored 14 points against the Dolphins and was shut out in the second half. They were fortunate that the defense came up big, including a huge fumble recovery for a touchdown late in the first half. Kansas City's defense is as good as it has been in the entire Patrick Mahomes era. But we're a half of a season in, and we have to start wondering if the offense is going to catch up.

PFT -- Rank: 4

The defense is saving the offense, on a regular basis.
