Throughout the 2020 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the Carolina Panthers rank in terms of average, best and worst:

  • Average ranking: 26.4 (27th)
  • Best ranking: 25th (USA Today)
  • Worst ranking: 27th (Multiple)

Below you will find a Week 15 roundup for the Panthers in our consensus 2020 NFL Power Rankings.

The Athletic -- Rank: 26

Defensive tackle Derrick Brown (seventh) looks at the very least to be a high-floor quality starter. He's played 69 percent of Carolina's defensive snaps and has 29 tackles (six for loss). Brown has yet to notch his first NFL sack, but he has eight quarterback hits. If he can develop his pass rush, Brown could be a potential breakout candidate for 2021.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 27

They come off their bye with a bad showing at home against the Broncos. The defense let them down after showing some improvement before the bye.

LB/S Jeremy Chinn continues to bolster case for defensive rookie of the year award with copious splash plays while leading all incoming players with 95 tackles.

ESPN -- Rank: 27

More McCaffrey likely equals more points, more wins and less stress on an undermanned defense. -- David Newton

NFL.com -- Rank: 27

Bridgewater has mixed high and low moments in Carolina; in his defense, he's played virtually the entire season without superstar running back Christian McCaffrey, who missed yet another week due to a quad issue. With the 4-9 Panthers headed toward a top 10-pick in the draft, the organization approaches a fork in the road: Ride with Bridgewater and build around the veteran -- or draft a QB and start over at the game's most important position. Hmmmm ...
