Player who benefited most from draft: LB Micah Parsons
The Cowboys want to keep the versatility that helped Parsons win the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. Owner Jerry Jones has referred to Parsons' position as a "Micah player." He can be a linebacker. He can be a pass-rusher. Had the Cowboys not selected Sam Williams in the second round, they would have kept that plan in place, but Williams presents the Cowboys -- and Parsons -- with more options. Williams goes into a pass-rush pool with DeMarcus Lawrence, Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr. Parsons can continue to move between positions with ease, especially with Leighton Vander Esch's return via free agency and Jabril Cox's return from injury. -- Todd Archer

Drafting an offensive lineman in the first round doesn't usually titillate a fan base, but the move to grab Tulsa mauler Tyler Smith at 24th overall made sense for a Dallas team that has seen age and turnover gradually diminish the blockers in front of Dak Prescott. Jerry Jones and friends also probably hoped they'd come out of this draft with one of the buzzy wide receivers, but the six biggest names were already history by the time the Cowboys were on the clock in the first. There's no doubt the Eagles made themselves a more competitive team this offseason ... Can you honestly say the same about America's Team? The NFC East is about to tighten up.

They have to stay healthy on the offensive line, which they didn't do last year. Drafting Tyler Smith in the first round will help that. The concern on defense is the pass rush, but this is a talent-laden team.
USA Today -- Rank: 11
The 2004 Eagles are the last team to repeat as NFC East champs ... and that streak's probably going to remain intact given the limited impact it appears Dallas will reap from the draft and free agency.
The Athletic -- Rank: 12
The Cowboys, who lost in the wild card-round to the 49ers, will look different the next time we see them. Receiver Amari Cooper was traded to Cleveland), and offensive tackle La'el Collins (Bengals) and edge rusher Randy Gregory (Broncos) both left in free agency. With the Eagles' aggressive offseason, are the Cowboys even still the NFC East favorites? Despite dropping the Cowboys two spots since the end of last season, our panel still has Dallas first in the division.
