Indianapolis Colts 2023 Mock Draft Roundup 1.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2023 NFL Draft, we will update our Indianapolis Colts Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Indianapolis Colts from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Colts:

The Athletic - Dane Brugler (5/3)

20. Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State

The son of former NFL pass rusher Joey Porter isn't the most consistent cover man and has his share of missteps on tape, but he is a long, fluid athlete with the potential to be a future first-round pick with continued development.

Draft Wire - Luke Easterling (5/3)

20. Tyler Van Dyke, QB, Miami (FL)

The Colts spent the 2022 draft building around Matt Ryan, but next year, they should think about drafting his eventual successor. Van Dyke's draft stock is soaring after his performance last season, and he could go much higher than this if he keeps up that trajectory.

Fox Sports - Jason McIntyre (5/3)

19. Phil Jurkovec, QB, Boston College

Jurkovec spent two seasons at Notre Dame before leaving for Chestnut Hill. The 6-foot-5 QB is ready to make the leap after missing half of last season due to a hand injury.

PFF - Michael Renner (5/2)

20. Kris Abrams-Draine, DB, Missouri

Abrams-Draine is an intriguing name to watch after he put up an 83.0 overall grade last season playing all over Missouri's defense. He played 395 snaps in the slot and 118 snaps out wide, earning an 80.3 run-defense grade and 83.1 coverage grade. He did it all after switching from wide receiver to cornerback just last year.

CBS - Ryan Wilson (5/2)

20. Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern

Skoronski feels like a Colt. He's not the biggest tackle but his athleticism jumps off the screen at you. Doesn't hurt that Rashawn Slater, who also played at Northwestern, was considered undersized coming out of college and was only one of the NFL's best rookies in '21.

The Draft Network - Joe Marino (4/30)

20. Josh Downs, WR, North Carolina

The Colts have a towering pair of receivers in Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce but are missing a dynamic yards-after-catch threat that can uncover quickly and win at every level of the field. That would change instantly by adding Downs.

The 33rd Team - Michael Schottey (4/30)

20. Phil Jurkovec, QB, Boston College

I'm not 100 percent comfortable putting Jurkovec as a first-round QB in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft, but the potential is all there. He's 6'5", has more than enough size and a strong enough arm to push the ball down the field in the NFL. He's coming off an injury and needs to mature his game a little bit, but he also fits the Colts' profile of a quarterback and has the traits Frank Reich has worked magic with in the past.

Pro Football Network - Cam Mellor (4/30)

18. Spencer Rattler, QB, South Carolina

Some more projection here, but the Indianapolis Colts will be in the market for a quarterback of the future after Matt Ryan's contract is up in 2024. Spencer Rattler has all the elite-level tools of a QB1 in college. The question will be -- can he rebound after transferring from Oklahoma to South Carolina this season?

Rattler has a strong arm and plenty of athleticism to move the pocket. He maintains vision downfield but suffered from progressional-read mistakes last season with the Sooners. Cleaning up some of the intangibles will absolutely vault him back into Round 1.

Barstool Sports - Steven Cheah (4/30)

19. Will Levis, QB, Kentucky

Matt Ryan is not the long term answer. Levis has some buzz around him and this could be a good match in the middle of the 1st round.
