2018 Fantasy Football Half-PPR Mock Draft: 10 Teams, 3rd Pick

As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. While we may not be able to draft a "perfect" fantasy football team, the more we practice, the better our teams will be.

Starting on July 7th, we began drafting (at least) one fantasy football team per day using the 2018 Fantasy Football Mock Draft Simulator and we will continue to do so up until the start of the 2018 NFL season.

Each day, we will switch things up -- e.g., PPR vs. standard scoring, league size, draft slot, 2-QB leagues, auction leagues, etc.

In addition, we will centralize links to our daily fantasy football mock drafts for an easy way to keep track of our mock drafts.

Details of today's mock draft:
  • Scoring: Half-PPR Scoring
  • # of Teams: 10
  • Draft Slot: 3
  • Starters: QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, Flex (RB/WR/TE), K, DST
  • Bench Size: 6

With that said, here are the results of today's mock draft:

1.03 - Le'Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers: Likely to report before the start of the season, Bell called it "fake news" that he'll report on Monday. Aside from his six-game 2015 season, the three-down workhorse has 1,200-plus rushing yards, 75-plus receptions and 600-plus receiving yards in three of his past four seasons.

2.08 - A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: After missing three-plus games in two of the previous three seasons, Green played a full 16-game slate and posted a 75/1,078/8 stat line in 2017. Aside from 2016 (career-high 96.4 YPG but six missed games), Green has exceeded the 1,000-yard mark in his other six NFL seasons.

3.03 - Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers: With double-digit touchdowns in back-to-back seasons, Adams has produced 149/1,882/22 over the past two years. With Jordy Nelson now in Oakland, Adams will have an opportunity to improve upon his top-12 (or 14th in PPR) 2017 performance as the No. 1 receiver for Aaron Rodgers.

4.08 - Alex Collins, RB, Baltimore Ravens: With double-digit carries in the final 12 regular-season games, Collins was just 27 yards shy of the 1,000-yard rushing mark. Although he didn't get his first reception until Week 8, he had multiple receptions in eight of the final nine games. Moreover, the second-year back had the eighth-most fantasy points among running backs from Weeks 8 to 17.

5.03 - Kenyan Drake, RB, Miami Dolphins: Over the final five games of the 2017 season, Drake ran for a league-high 444 yards on 91 carries (4.88 YPC) with two touchdowns and added 17 receptions for 150 yards. While his December workload (21.6 touches per game) won't carry over into 2018 as the co-starter with Frank Gore, Drake could finish as a top-24 fantasy back in 2018.

6.08 - Jarvis Landry, WR, Cleveland Browns: Leading the NFL last season with a career-high 112 receptions, Landry finished the season with 987 yards and nine touchdowns (also a career high). A threat for triple-digit catches, Landry could once again push for the league lead in receptions.

7.03 - Rex Burkhead, RB, New England Patriots: Burkhead scored eight touchdowns (in 10 games) as he rushed for 264 yards and added 30 catches for 254 yards in his debut season with the Patriots.

8.08 - Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Denver Broncos: While Sanders missed four games, his 2017 numbers (47/555/2) were nearly half of his 2016 production (79/1,032/5). Before last season, Sanders had three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons and there is a reasonable chance that he approaches that level of production with Keenum under center.

9.03 - Evan Engram, TE, New York Giants: Rookie tight ends typically struggle, but Engram had a highly productive rookie season (64/722/6, TE5). Based on talent, Engram could take another step forward in 2018, but he won't see as much volume (115 targets) in 2018 with better health from Odell Beckham along with the addition of rookie Saquon Barkley.

10.08 - Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis Colts: It will be more than 600 days in between regular-season games and it's been an up-and-down preseason for Luck. There is some obvious risk with Luck but also plenty of upside going into 2018. In his past three full seasons, Luck has finished as fantasy's QB4 (2013), QB2 (2014) and QB4 (2016).

11.03 - Randall Cobb, WR, Green Bay Packers: Since exceeding 800-plus yards in his three healthy seasons from 2012 to 2015, Cobb has 600-something yards in back-to-back seasons. Given a secure WR2 role (minus some late-August trade rumors), however, Cobb should bounce back provided that he and Rodgers can stay healthy.

12.08 - Giovani Bernard, RB, Cincinnati Bengals: Mixon missed a couple of December games, but Bernard was highly productive down the stretch. Gio had 507 YFS, averaged 4.75 YPC with 24 receptions and two scores across five December games. Gio offers late-round value as a back that could return flex value.

13.03 - Devontae Booker, RB, Denver Broncos: With the Broncos releasing C.J. Anderson this offseason, Booker has a chance to enter the season as the starter even if he doesn't end the season in that role. The Broncos used a third-round pick on Royce Freeman, who could/should overtake Booker at some point during the season.

14.08 - Denver Broncos D/ST

15.03 - Justin Tucker, K, Baltimore Ravens
