The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Bears:
Rotoworld - Thor Nystrom (8/21)
16. Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech
Farley is one of the most decorated corners eligible for the 2021 NFL Draft, leading the ACC with 16 passes defended last year to go with four interceptions. He's also a sick athlete. Checking in at No. 11 on Bruce Feldman's summer "Freaks” list, the 6-foot-2, 207-pounder registered a mind-bending 24.16 mph on his GPS tracker against Notre Dame last year that puts him in the Tyreek Hill/Henry Ruggs top-end speed supergroup.
PFF - Mike Renner (8/19)
16. Wyatt Davis, IOL, Ohio State
The Bears still haven't properly addressed Kyle Long's departure on the interior of the offensive line. While this may seem high for a guard, Davis was that good for the Buckeyes last season -- he didn't allow a single sack or hit all year.

15. Devonta Smith, WR, Alabama
Stud receiver Allen Robinson is in a contract year, but even if the team brings back Robinson into 2021 and beyond, the team needs more pass-catching options to help bolster the pass game. WR Anthony Miller is promising but durability is something of a concern -- and the Bears' third best option is either Cordarrelle Patterson or Ted Ginn. Let's get up upgrade for whoever is playing quarterback.
Pro Football Network - Oliver Hodgkinson (8/16)
14. Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
The Chicago Bears had one of the worst offenses in the NFL in 2019, and unless there is a remarkable turnaround in 2020, then you can expect sweeping changes across that side of the ball. While quarterback is an obvious area of need, they could also benefit from addressing the wide receiver and interior offensive line. With six cornerbacks set to hit free agency ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Bears could add depth at that position.
Despite splitting targets with Tyler Johnson in 2019, Rashod Bateman still managed to break a 1,000+ yard season. Although his opportunity to shine as the true WR1 at Minnesota has gone with his opt-out and subsequent suspension of the BIG Ten season, Bateman has already shown that he can possesses the hand skills, contested-catch ability, and route running skills to be a threat in the NFL.

14. Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State
Lance is big, athletic and tough, and he absolutely dominated the FCS last season. He threw zero interceptions on nearly 300 pass attempts in 2019 and offered dual-threat production, rushing for 50-plus yards in nine of his 16 games. The Bears need a guy they can build around, and they can't afford to whiff this time. Chicago's thoughts on Mitchell Trubisky were made clear when it didn't give him his fifth-year option and signed a soon-to-be 32-year-old Foles who is coming off an injury-plagued, poor 2019 season. Lance is a third-year sophomore with some questions still to be answered -- including whether he'd want to declare for the draft at all -- but the Bears would love to get this talented signal-caller in the middle of the first round based on his ceiling.
The Draft Network - Jordan Reid (8/10)
16. Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State
It's not a secret, the Bears are in need of a quarterback. The team enters training camp with a battle between Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles. After trading for the Super Bowl-winning Foles, it's likely that he opens Week 1 as the starter under center. If unable to relight his magic and he instead shows similar struggles to those in Jacksonville, the team will once again be in search of another signal-caller.
Lance couldn't have asked for a better season as he helped propel the Bison to a perfect 16-0 season in which he accounted for 42 total touchdowns (28 passing) and zero interceptions. Any time a prospect posts those kinds of numbers at such an important position, it will garner national attention. With the Missouri Valley Conference canceling football until the spring, Lance has an interesting decision ahead of him.

14. Jevon Holland, S, Oregon
The Bears have, in my opinion, the top single-high free safety in the NFL in Eddie Jackson. So why not pair Jackson with my top-rated safety in the 2021 class? Jevon Holland is a do-it-all chess piece that is a plus defender in man and zone coverage, as well as being a strong run defender and aggressive pass rusher. He lacks elite athletic ability, which limits his ability to play single-high. This is a dream pairing, and Holland just screams "Bears.”
The Draft Network - Joe Marino (8/3)
16. Wyatt Davis, IOL, Ohio State
Welcome back to the first round, Chicago! Unfortunately (or fortunately?), the Bears are too far down the order to be in the mix for one of the top quarterbacks in the draft, but are in great shape to address another top need along the interior offensive line.
Davis is a difference-maker up front with his power, tenacity, mobility, body control, and technical-refinement. He should be a plug-and-play starter and anchor the offensive line for years to come.
