QUARTERBACKS

Tom Brady581.7375.24551.831.1210.4725.932.41.55298.15
Coming off multi-year lows in completion percentage (60.8, six-year low), TD% (3.9, 11-year low) and Y/A (6.6, 18-year low), things are looking up for Brady in terms of his fantasy outlook as he replaces Jameis Winston in Tampa's high-powered offense. While the team should play with more leads and Brady likely won't lead the NFL in pass attempts (like Winston did in 2019), he inherits a supporting cast loaded with talented pass-catchers -- Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, O.J. Howard, (an unretired) Rob Gronkowski, etc.

RUNNING BACKS

Ronald Jones164.16814.9234.3277.81.03131.58
Much better than his 2018 rookie campaign, Jones was solid, if not spectacular, as he finished 2019 as fantasy's RB27 with 1,033 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns. While Peyton Barber is now in Washington, the Bucs added competion in third-rounder Ke'Shawn Vaughn and veteran LeSean McCoy. At least heading into the season, Arians has dubbed Jones as the "main guy" in the backfield. If he can maintain that role throughout the season, a top-24 finish is within reach.
Ke'Shawn Vaughn151.1649.74.5327.4213.70.82118.44
If anything, the one-year contract the Bucs gave to LeSean McCoy only muddies the outlook for the team's backfield. Given the poor pass-blocking grade (38.4) that PFF gave to Ronald Jones, it's possible that Vaughn outperforms the third-year back in pass-protection ands earn the trust of Tom Brady and Bruce Arians to grow his role throughout the season.

WIDE RECEIVERS

PlayerRec.YardsTDRushYardsTDPoints
Chris Godwin82.21171.47.81000164
With DeSean Jackson departing in free agency, Godwin (more than) delivered on the breakout that was expected of him. Despite missing two games, he shattered previous career highs with 86 catches for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns to finish as fantasy's WR2.
Mike Evans721105.27.56000155.88
Teammate Chris Godwin ranked second in fantasy points per game; Evans ranked third. The dynamic duo gets a new (or old?) quarterback and the only thing that may hold back the passing game is the likelihood that Tampa plays with more leads, which in turn could lead to fewer pass attempts in 2020.

TIGHT ENDS

PlayerRec.YardsTDRushYardsTDPoints
Rob Gronkowski48.2619.45.5400095.18
Outside of his 2010 rookie season, Gronkowski's 52.5 YPG average in his final season (2018) in New England was the lowest of his career by a wide margin. After taking a year off and shedding 15 pounds, Gronk should be a factor up the seam and in the red zone for the Bucs with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin commanding so much attention.
O.J. Howard31.2438.43.2800063.52
Despite his intriguing skill set, draft pedigree and high-powered offense, we shouldn't continue holding our breathe waiting for Howard's breakout, especially with Brady recruiting Gronk out of retirement.
