2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Half-PPR Mock (12th Pick)

The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will use the fantasy football mock draft simulator to complete fantasy football mock drafts. And we will do so using a variety of scoring formats — point per reception (PPR), half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues — and league sizes. The goal is to provide you with a good representation of the team that you may be able to draft given your league settings while also providing the rationale of why we made the picks we did.

> Our 2025 mocks will be centralized here: Fantasy Football Mock Drafts.

That said, nothing beats practicing yourself so (check out the simulator) and complete a mock in a matter of minutes.

Half-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 12th Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.12 - Derrick Henry, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Father Time may be undefeated, but Henry carried the ball 325 times for 1,921 yards, the second-best (by far) of his career, and a league-high 16 touchdowns in his age-30 season. In addition, he averaged a career-best 5.9 YPC — a half-yard more than his previous high. Yes, his receiving volume was (and will continue to be) low, but Lamar Jackson limits opposing defenses from being able to stack the box to slow him down. Henry was top four across all scoring formats (including full PPR).

2.01 - Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans

Collins has missed seven games over the past two seasons, but the now 26-year-old receiver has averaged 85.3 YPG (fifth best), 15.6 Y/R (eighth) and scored a total of 15 touchdowns (tied, 10th) over that span (among wide receivers with at least 100 targets). He has finished among the top three wide receivers in PFF's Y/RR metric in each of the past two seasons — 3.11 (second) in 2023 and 2.87 (third) in 2024, respectively. If Collins can stay healthy for a full season, the emerging superstar could truly make a jump into the top tier of fantasy receivers in 2025.

3.12 - Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Adams, who was traded midseason from the Raiders to the Jets, still managed to extend his streak of 1,000-yard, eight-TD seasons to five. Even though he turns 33 on Christmas Eve and won't dominate targets the way he had at previous stops, he should have (or come close to having) another 1,000/8 season. Adams is the WR13 in my rankings, and he has plenty of contingent upside if Puka Nacua were to miss any time.

4.01 - George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers

Garrett Wilson is ranked higher than Kittle in my top 200 fantasy football cheat sheet, but this mock starts two receivers so I pivoted from what would have been my pick with a three-WR starting lineup. While he's not in the same tier as Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, Kittle is one of three elite tight ends that are heads and shoulders above the rest of the position. Kittle finished 2024 with 78 receptions for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns, all of which rank either second or third in his career. Injuries to Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey led to greater consistency from Kittle — 40-plus receiving yards in 13 of 15 games played. (Only Bowers had more — 14 of 17 games.)

Dallas Cowboys 2025 Fantasy Football Projections

Our 2025 fantasy football projections below are for the Dallas Cowboys.

Projected fantasy points are based on half-PPR scoring.

PlayerAtt.Comp.YardsTDINTRushYardsTDPoints
Dak Prescott575384.14283.828.1812.08501951.55288.71

QB Totals615410.14567.829.712.8854.42061.77306.97

Dak Prescott: Prescott played only eight games in 2024 and has now missed five-plus games in three of the past five seasons. Prescott went from finishing as the QB3 in 2023 to the QB21 last season in fantasy points per game. It's clear that the trade for George Pickens will make a significant impact to the offense, and his skill set is an ideal complement opposite CeeDee Lamb. Describing himself as "a chill guy" who is "staying humble," Pickens is entering the final year of his rookie contract and should be motivated to show the best version of himself in 2025.

Las Vegas Raiders 2025 Fantasy Football Projections

Our 2025 fantasy football projections below are for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Geno Smith545.4373.64008.722.6312.8248.1226.11.83258.82

QB Totals580.2395.54241.923.8513.4851.2230.81.92272.72

Geno Smith: It's obvious that Smith is an upgrade over the trio of Aidan O'Connell, Gardner Minshew and Desmond Ridder, all of whom made starts in 2024, and a more competent passing attack with benefit Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers, and the team's pass catchers. While Smith's best fantasy season (2022, QB5 — eighth on a PPG basis) was his first in Seattle with Pete Carroll, he's been a mid-tier QB2 (or worse) the past two seasons. Less useful in single-QB redraft formats, Smith has upside in two-QB or super flex and best ball formats.

They felt the locker room could turn toxic." Describing himself as "a chill guy" who is "staying humble," Pickens is entering the final year of his rookie contract and should be motivated to show the best version of himself in 2025.

2025 Miami Dolphins Fantasy Football Projections

PlayerAtt.Comp.YardsTDINTRushYardsTDPoints

QB Totals580.1393.34362.427.3312.9451.4163.30.75278.77

Tua Tagovailoa: Appearing in more than 13 games only once during his five NFL seasons, the obvious concern with Tagovailoa (in real life and fantasy) is his troubling history of concussions. Over the past three seasons, however, Tagovailoa has led the NFL in at least one different passing category — completion percentage (72.9%) in 2024, passing yards (4.624) in 2023, and TD% (6.3) and Y/A (8.9) in 2022. There's a chance he performs as a back-end QB1 if — a big if — his health cooperates, but his lack of rushing (75/193/0 since 2022) limits the upside even if he plays a full season. For example, the same year (2023) he played 17 games and led the NFL in passing yards, he finished as the QB9 in overall points (QB17 on a PPG basis).

Trey Lance5.93.542.20.210.172.411.30.073.74

Dak Prescott: Prescott missed five games after getting injured in the season opener. From Week 7 (when he returned from injury) through the end of the season, Prescott was fantasy's QB6 — QB7 on a PPG basis. Even without Dalton Schultz as a security blanket, Prescott's overall weapons are improved with a better WR2 (Brandin Cooks). In addition, Michael Gallup should be better, now that he's another year removed from his ACL tear.

Tony Pollard: Sharing the workload with Ezekiel Elliott, Pollard rushed for 1,007 yards and nine touchdowns and added 39 catches for 371 yards and another three touchdowns. With Elliott no longer on the roster (and now a Patriot), Pollard enters 2023 as a strong RB1 in fantasy drafts.

Deuce Vaughn: Malik Davis was arguably the favorite for RB2 duties at an earlier point of training camp, but he was cut and then re-signed to the practice squad. Both Vaughn and Rico Dowdle will back up and complement Pollard.

Jalen Brooks1.8220.20004.3

CeeDee Lamb: After Amari Cooper was traded to the Browns last offseason, Lamb stepped into the WR1 role and shattered previous career highs with 107 receptions for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns on 156 targets. Lamb finished as fantasy's WR6 in half-PPR scoring in 2022, and he was the WR3 from Weeks 7-18 when Dak Prescott returned from injury.

Brandin Cooks: Now onto his fifth NFL team, Cooks has logged six 1,000-yard seasons, at least one of which came with all four of his previous teams. Coming off a disappointing 57/699/3 season in 2022, Cooks should improve upon last year's numbers and is a viable fantasy WR3.

Michael Gallup: Gallup missed only the first three games of 2022, but his production was abysmal (39/424/4 in the regular season). Including two playoff games, he had less than 50 receiving yards in 15 of 16 games. Getting back to an 1,100-yard season (2019) is highly unlikely, especially with Cooks added to the receiving corps, but he should be better in 2023 now that he's another year removed from his torn ACL.

Jalen Tolbert: Tolbert had a disappointing rookie season, but the second-year receiver had a strong offseason. Even if he is the "most improved player on roster," it will take an injury to one of the team's top three receivers for Tolbert to become fantasy-relevant in 2023.

Luke Schoonmaker20.8211.61.700041.76
Peyton Hendershot12.1121.20.900023.57

Jake Ferguson: The Cowboys used a second-round pick on Luke Schoonmaker, but Ferguson should pace the position group in receiving with Dalton Schultz now in Houston. Dak Prescott has recently said that Ferguson is going to become a "big-time player in this league." Ferguson is a good bet to outperform his average draft position, which has steadily risen over the past month.

Trey Lance: The No. 3 overall pick in 2022, Lance has dual-threat upside if he gets the opportunity to make any starts in 2023, but that would obviously require an injury (or perhaps a Week 18 rest for starters). But would he start over Cooper Rush if called into action in 2023?

Cooper Rush44.928.5323.31.840.996.914.50.0720.18

Dak Prescott: Excluding 2020 when he missed 11 games, Prescott has finished as fantasy's QB6, QB11, QB10, QB2 and QB7, respectively, in his last five full seasons. He set a career high in 2021 in both passing touchdowns (37) and TD% (6.2), but he averaged a career low in rush attempts (3.0) and rushing yards (9.1) per game and it was the first time he had fewer than three rushing scores in a season. With Amari Cooper traded to Cleveland and the turnover or injury on the offensive line, Prescott's supporting cast is weaker in 2022 than it was last season as well.

RUNNING BACKS

PlayerAtt.YardsTDRec.YardsTDPoints
Ezekiel Elliott232.2975.27.6640.8294.51.8204.13
Tony Pollard146.5703.23.6640.2316.31.8154.81
Malik Davis19.380.10.392.619.30.114.18

Ezekiel Elliott: The days of drafting Elliott as a sure-fire top-five fantasy back are over. Elliott posted per-game career lows in rush attempts (13.9) and rushing yards (58.9) and was relatively inefficient with his opportunities (4.2 YPC, 6.1 Y/R and 4.4 Y/T) last season. The Cowboys (from the top down) remain committed to using Zeke as its featured back (for at least the upcoming season).

Tony Pollard: Even though Elliott played a full 17-game slate in 2021, Pollard earned an expanded role with career highs in touches (169) and scrimmage yards (1,056). Pollard is one of my favorite backs to target in 2022, as he has enormous upside if Elliott misses any time, but he has stand-alone flex value even if Elliott doesn't.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Simi Fehoko7.386.90.600015.94
KaVontae Turpin3.238.60.31.611.20.058.68

CeeDee Lamb: Albeit in an uneven season, Lamb's year-over-year numbers improved to 79/1,102/6 in 2021 from his 74/935/5 rookie season. Lamb finished as a top-24 fantasy receiver in six of nine games through Week 10 and was tied with Tampa's Mike Evans for the sixth-most fantasy points (half-PPR scoring) during that stretch. (Michael Gallup missed Weeks 2-9.) Lamb was a top-30 receiver only once over his final seven games, however, and tied with Amari Cooper as fantasy's WR42 over that span. With Cooper in Cleveland, there should be no shortage of targets for Lamb in his third season.

Michael Gallup: Gallup tore his ACL in Week 17. While he has said that he won't be ready for Week 1, he won't start the season on PUP. In other words, he should miss less than four games to begin the 2022 season. While Gallup has an 1,100-yard season (2019) under his belt and was re-signed to be the Cowboys' WR2, he's a WR4 in fantasy with weekly upside.

Jalen Tolbert: With Gallup (ACL recovery) and Washington (broken foot) both expected to miss time to begin the season, Tolbert is expected to start opposite CeeDee Lamb in two-wide sets against the Buccaneers in Week 1. The Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year finished his Jaguars career with back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns.

TIGHT ENDS

Peyton Hendershot3.736.20.20006.67
Sean McKeon3.231.40.20005.94

Dalton Schultz: Schultz set career highs in targets (104), receptions (78), yards (808) and touchdowns (eight) last season as he finished as a top-three fantasy tight end. Schultz lacks the ceiling of elite tight ends, but he makes up for that with his high floor. For example, 82 receiving yards was his season high last year, but he finished with five-plus targets in 13 of 17 games. Given the offseason changes to the team's group of pass catchers, there's a chance he's even more involved in 2022 than he was last year.

Dallas Cowboys Week 7 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

Throughout the 2021 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the Dallas Cowboys rank in terms of average, best and worst:

  • Average ranking: 4.8 (5th)
  • Best ranking: 4th (Multiple)
  • Worst ranking: 6th (The Athletic)

Below you will find a Week 7 roundup for the Cowboys in our consensus 2021 NFL Power Rankings.

ESPN -- Rank: 5

Maybe the confidence rating should have been higher coming off the closer-than-expected loss to Tampa Bay in the opener. The Cowboys have not lost since and have a three-game lead in the NFC East. Dak Prescott's health comes into question with a calf strain. But if he is healthy, which opponent wouldn't the Cowboys be favored to beat in their final 11 games? Maybe at Kansas City? Arizona? This team can put itself in a favorable playoff position and run away with the division. -- Todd Archer

NFL.com -- Rank: 4

Dak Prescott would not be denied. He helped keep the Cowboys in business with a clutch 24-yard completion to CeeDee Lamb in the final seconds of regulation, then connected with Lamb again on the 35-yard touchdown in overtime to seal a 35-29 win over the Patriots in Foxborough. Prescott limped to the locker room with a strained calf that will get plenty of treatment during Dallas' bye week. Prior to the heroics from Prescott and Lamb, Trevon Diggs continued the incredible start to his season with his seventh interception, a pick-six of Mac Jones late in the fourth quarter. The Cowboys are a big-play team.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 5

They dominated the Patriots for much of the game, yet still had to win in overtime. The offense was special, but they turned the ball over in key spots. Dak Prescott is in the MVP conversation.

USA Today -- Rank: 4

The Dallas defense may only rank 24th overall, even after surrendering season-low 335 yards to New England, but it leads NFC with 14 takeaways -- with at least two in 10 consecutive games for the first time since 1976-77. Coordinator Dan Quinn and Co. are getting it done.

The Athletic -- Rank: 6

Rookie Heat Check: Is there anything Micah Parsons can't do? He finds ways to reach the ball or the quarterback no matter where defensive coordinator Dan Quinn lines him up. The Penn State product has been used at linebacker, as a rusher and in coverage to the tune of 30 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks, two passes defended and two run-stuffs.
