Patrick Mahomes: Outside of his one-game rookie season, Mahomes set or tied career lows in passing yards (3,928) and touchdowns (26). Like Joe Burrow, Mahomes has enough mobility to make and extend plays, but he doesn't use it to rack up significant rushing production (307-389 rushing yards in five consecutive seasons). After finishing as a top-four fantasy quarterback in four of his first five seasons as a starter, Mahomes has finished as the QB8 and QB12, respectively, over the past two seasons. The talented trio of Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown (when healthy and active) provide hope for Mahomes to return to his previous levels of elite production.

Russell Wilson: Playing for his fourth team in five seasons, Wilson is the favorite to enter the season as the starter but unlikely to maintain that role all year. Wilson took over for Justin Fields as Pittsburgh's starter in Week 7, and he performed as fantasy's QB18 on a per-game basis among QBs with at least six appearances during that stretch. Given the Giants used a first-round pick on Dart and the team's low expectations, it would make sense to give Dart an opportunity to gain valuable game experience sooner than later.

Jaxson Dart: Even if Wilson starts more games than Dart, it's likely that the first-rounder gets some starts, especially during the most crucial time of the fantasy season. Both Wilson and Dart are off the fantasy radar in standard single-QB leagues, but the rookie has the ability to make plays with his legs and provide some fantasy upside once he gets his shot.

Aaron Rodgers: Rodgers was QB19 on a per-game basis in 2024 with Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams (for 11 games). Yes, the Steelers traded for Jonnu Smith, but the receiving corps is a downgrade from what he had last year and it will be interesting to see how he and DK Metcalf mesh. While the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, there's zero reason to draft Rodgers in standard (single-QB) leagues.

Bryce Young: Young was benched after a terrible start through the first two weeks last season (only 225 passing yards, 4.01 Y/A, no touchdowns and three interceptions). He didn't start again until Week 8, but he played much better, especially over the final three games (64.8%, 7.0 Y/A, seven touchdowns and no interceptions). After Carolina's Week 11 bye, Young was the QB8 in fantasy PPG (21.2) through the end of the season.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Drafts

The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will use the fantasy football mock draft simulator to complete fantasy football mock drafts. And we will do so using a variety of scoring formats — point per reception (PPR), half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues — and league sizes. The goal is to provide you with a good representation of the team that you may be able to draft given your league settings while also providing the rationale of why we made the picks we did.

> Our 2025 mocks will be centralized here: Fantasy Football Mock Drafts.

That said, nothing beats practicing yourself so (check out the simulator) and complete a mock in a matter of minutes.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Half-PPR Mock (11th Pick)

Embed from Getty Images

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.11 - Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans

Collins has missed seven games over the past two seasons, but the now 26-year-old receiver has averaged 85.3 YPG (fifth best), 15.6 Y/R (eighth) and scored a total of 15 touchdowns (tied, 10th) over that span (among wide receivers with at least 100 targets). He has finished among the top three wide receivers in PFF's Y/RR metric in each of the past two seasons — 3.11 (second) in 2023 and 2.87 (third) in 2024, respectively. If Collins can stay healthy for a full season, the emerging superstar could truly make a jump into the top tier of fantasy receivers in 2025.

2.02 - Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Among the top 10 receivers in fantasy points per game, seven of them missed multiple games in 2024. While Thomas was 11th on a per-game basis, he played a full season and finished fourth in fantasy points. As injuries sidelined Jacksonville's other top 2024 pass catchers (Evan Engram and Christian Kirk), Thomas stepped up down the stretch with all six of his double-digit target games occuring in the final six weeks of the season. During that span, he had the second-most targets (70) behind only Ja'Marr Chase (75) and ranked top five in catches (45), yards (593) and touchdowns (five). While Engram and Kirk are no longer in Jacksonville, the Jags upgraded their No. 2 receiver opposite Thomas by trading up to draft Travis Hunter, last year's Heisman Trophy and Biletnikoff Award winner (among many other awards). Hunter's presence may cut slightly into his target domination, but secondaries will have to give Hunter more defensive attention than they would have to their pre-draft No. 2 wideout(s).

MORE: 2025 Jacksonville Jaguars Fantasy Football Projections

3.11 - Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Adams, who was traded midseason from the Raiders to the Jets, still managed to extend his streak of 1,000-yard, eight-TD seasons to five. Even though he turns 33 on Christmas Eve and won't dominate targets the way he had at previous stops, he should have (or come close to having) another 1,000/8 season.

4.02 - Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Perhaps his outlook is even rosier in dynasty leagues than redraft given the presence of Najee Harris, but Hampton should emerge as the team's lead back by season's end. Harris's "superficial eye injury" will almost certainly accelerate that shift. Currently, there is no update on when Harris will return although he's walking laps around the field as "part of his rehab process."

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.09 - Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions

St. Brown has been a model of consistency — year in and year out, week in and week out. ARSB has 90-plus catches in all four seasons, 1,161-plus yards in the past three seasons, and double-digit touchdowns in back-to-back seasons. He had five-plus catches in 14 of 17 games last season and his other games were four, three and two catches. Only Ja'Marr Chase (15) had more such games in 2024, and he's tied with Davante Adams for the most five-catch games (49) since 2021, per Stathead.

2.04 - Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Hunter's presence may cut slightly into his target domination, but secondaries will have to give Hunter more defensive attention than they would have to their pre-draft No. 2 wideout(s).

MORE: 2025 Jacksonville Jaguars Fantasy Football Projections

3.09 - Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Evans, who will turn 32 in August, extended his remarkable streak of 1,000-yard seasons to 11 (albeit just barely: 1,004 yards) in 2024. While he missed three games last season, Evans remains one of the most dominant red-zone weapons in the league — 24 receiving touchdowns over the past two seasons and double-digit scores in four of the past five years.

4.04 - Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Walker has missed multiple games in each of his three NFL seasons including six missed games last year. While he averaged only 3.7 yards per carry and 4.4 yards per touch, both career lows, his PFF elusive rating (113.5) was a career high and the third most among all running backs with at least 100 carries in 2024. Walker should benefit from the new coaching staff's heavy use of outside zone and there is plenty of upside if his health cooperates.

QB Totals502.1332.83840.622.619.81148.6597.212356.17

Jalen Hurts: In the same year that Saquon Barkley rushed for over 2,000 yards, Hurts set a career low as a full-time starter in pass attempts per game (24.1). In fact, that was a drop of 7.5 per game from his 2023 average (31.6). He finished 2024 throwing for only 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Even with Barkley's rushing greatness last season, Hurts extended streaks of 150-plus carries (to three seasons), 600-plus rushing yards (four) and double-digit rushing scores (four). Over the past four years, Hurts has compiled 611/2,779/52 rushing in 62 games, equivalent to 9.51 fantasy points per game from rushing stats alone. In addition, only two players (both running backs) — Derrick Henry (51) and Josh Jacobs (42) — come within 10 rushing touchdowns of Hurts (52) during that span, per Stathead. (Josh Allen is tied for fourth (40) with Joe Mixon and Jonathan Taylor.)

Tua Tagovailoa: Appearing in more than 13 games only once during his five NFL seasons, the obvious concern with Tagovailoa (in real life and fantasy) is his troubling history of concussions. Over the past three seasons, however, Tagovailoa has led the NFL in at least one different passing category — completion percentage (72.9%) in 2024, passing yards (4.624) in 2023, and TD% (6.3) and Y/A (8.9) in 2022. There's a chance he performs as a back-end QB1 if — a big if — his health cooperates, but his lack of rushing (75/193/0 since 2022) limits the upside even if he plays a full season. For example, the same year (2023) he played 17 games and led the NFL in passing yards, he finished as the QB9 in overall points (QB17 on a PPG basis).

Drake Maye: Could Maye breakout in 2025? There are plenty of positive signs. The Patriots bolstered their pass protection and pass-catching weapons via free agency and the NFL draft including Stefon Diggs, LSU's Will Campbell (Round 1), Ohio State's TreVeyon Henderson (Round 2), and Washington State's Kyle Williams (Round 3). Considering his rushing ability, Maye's floor is high even if the Patriots adopt a run-heavy approach under Mike Vrabel, but the improvement in offensive firepower gives him more upside as a passer in year two.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Super Flex Half-PPR Mock (4th Pick)

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Super Flex (QB/RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.04 - Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

There are a clear elite four (fantasy) quarterbacks in two mini tiers — Josh Allen with Lamar Jackson, then Jayden Daniels with Jalen Hurts. With Allen, Jackson and Daniels taken 1-2-3 in this Super Flex mock, it made sense to take Hurts here. Even though Joe Burrow went 1.05, I would have taken Ja'Marr Chase in that slot if I were picking one spot later. With a 2,000-yard season from Saquon Barkley, it's not surprising that Hurts set a career low as a full-time starter in pass attempts per game (24.1). The passing numbers were down, but Hurts' elite rushing production continued. He extended streaks of 150-plus carries (to three seasons), 600-plus rushing yards (four) and double-digit rushing scores (four). Over the past four years, Hurts has compiled 611/2,779/52 rushing in 62 games, equivalent to 9.51 fantasy points per game from rushing stats alone.

MORE: Jalen Hurts 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook

2.09 - Malik Nabers, WR, New York Giants

Perhaps Jaxson Dart will provide a real long-term upgrade, but New York's 2025 quarterback situation is both below average and yet also an upgrade over what they had last year. Despite missing a couple of games and the state of the team's quarterback play, Nabers finished his rookie campaign as fantasy's WR7. With a league-high 10 games with double-digit targets and more targets than all receivers not named Ja'Marr Chase, Nabers never finished with fewer than four catches, seven targets or 41 yards in any game in 2024.

3.04 - De'Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins

Achane's year-over-year carries nearly doubled (103 to 203), but the yardage total increased by only 107 yards from 2023. The rushing efficiency dropped even more than most had expected (from his unsustainable rookie levels), but his receiving role was elite as he paced the position with 78 receptions for 592 yards and six touchdowns.

MORE: 2025 Miami Dolphins Fantasy Football Projections

4.09 - Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

While he would be a WR1 elsewhere, Higgins will continue to benefit from being the 1B to Ja'Marr Chase. While he has missed exactly five games in back-to-back seasons, Higgins finished second (behind Chase) among all wide receivers in fantasy points per game in 2024.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Non-PPR Mock (7th Pick)

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.07 - Derrick Henry, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Father Time may be undefeated, but Henry carried the ball 325 times for 1,921 yards, the second-best (by far) of his career, and a league-high 16 touchdowns in his age-30 season. In addition, he averaged a career-best 5.9 YPC — a half-yard more than his previous high. Yes, his receiving volume was (and will continue to be) low, but Lamar Jackson limits opposing defenses from being able to stack the box to slow him down. Repeating his 2024 numbers may be unlikely (although he has some extra motivation for 2,000 rushing yards).

2.06 - Jonathan Taylor, RB, Indianapolis Colts

Like with Henry, a concern with Taylor is the lack of receiving volume, especially with Anthony Richardson (or Daniel Jones) under center. Taylor, who missed Weeks 5-7, had only 12/59/1 receiving on 21 targets over the final 10 games of the season. But his rushing numbers over that span were elite — 231 carries for 1,082 yards, both of which were second to only Saquon Barkley, and seven touchdowns. One additional concern with Taylor is that he has missed at least three games in three consecutive seasons.

MORE: 2026 Indianapolis Colts Mock Draft Roundup

3.07 - Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

While he would be a WR1 elsewhere, Higgins will continue to benefit from being the 1B to Ja'Marr Chase. While he has missed exactly five games in back-to-back seasons, Higgins finished fourth (behind Chase, Justin Jefferson and Chris Godwin) among all wide receivers in fantasy points per game (non-PPR) in 2024.

4.06 - Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Adams, who was traded midseason from the Raiders to the Jets, still managed to extend his streak of 1,000-yard, eight-TD seasons to five. Even though he turns 33 on Christmas Eve and won't dominate targets the way he had at previous stops, he should have (or come close to having) another 1,000/8 season.

Leading up to the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will use the fantasy football mock draft simulator to complete fantasy football mock drafts. Half-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 12th Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.12 - Derrick Henry, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Father Time may be undefeated, but Henry carried the ball 325 times for 1,921 yards, the second-best (by far) of his career, and a league-high 16 touchdowns in his age-30 season. In addition, he averaged a career-best 5.9 YPC — a half-yard more than his previous high. Yes, his receiving volume was (and will continue to be) low, but Lamar Jackson limits opposing defenses from being able to stack the box to slow him down. Henry was top four across all scoring formats (including full PPR).

2.01 - Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans

MORE: 2026 Houston Texans Mock Draft Roundup

3.12 - Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Adams, who was traded midseason from the Raiders to the Jets, still managed to extend his streak of 1,000-yard, eight-TD seasons to five. Even though he turns 33 on Christmas Eve and won't dominate targets the way he had at previous stops, he should have (or come close to having) another 1,000/8 season. Adams is the WR13 in my rankings, and he has plenty of contingent upside if Puka Nacua were to miss any time.

4.01 - George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers

Garrett Wilson is ranked higher than Kittle in my top 200 fantasy football cheat sheet, but this mock starts two receivers so I pivoted from what would have been my pick with a three-WR starting lineup. While he's not in the same tier as Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, Kittle is one of three elite tight ends that are heads and shoulders above the rest of the position. Kittle finished 2024 with 78 receptions for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns, all of which rank either second or third in his career. Injuries to Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey led to greater consistency from Kittle — 40-plus receiving yards in 13 of 15 games played. (Only Bowers had more — 14 of 17 games.)

Dak Prescott: Prescott played only eight games in 2024 and has now missed five-plus games in three of the past five seasons. Prescott went from finishing as the QB3 in 2023 to the QB21 last season in fantasy points per game. It's clear that the trade for George Pickens will make a significant impact to the offense, and his skill set is an ideal complement opposite CeeDee Lamb. Describing himself as "a chill guy" who is "staying humble," Pickens is entering the final year of his rookie contract and should be motivated to show the best version of himself in 2025.

Geno Smith: It's obvious that Smith is an upgrade over the trio of Aidan O'Connell, Gardner Minshew and Desmond Ridder, all of whom made starts in 2024, and a more competent passing attack with benefit Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers, and the team's pass catchers. While Smith's best fantasy season (2022, QB5 — eighth on a PPG basis) was his first in Seattle with Pete Carroll, he's been a mid-tier QB2 (or worse) the past two seasons. Less useful in single-QB redraft formats, Smith has upside in two-QB or super flex and best ball formats.

Justin Herbert: Before the bye (Week 5), Herbert averaged only 22.8 pass attempts and 144.5 passing yards per game. He scored 12 or fewer fantasy points every week and was fantasy's QB27 during that stretch. After the bye, however, he averaged 31.8 PA and 253.2 YPG. He was the QB9 (QB12 on a PPG basis) from Weeks 6-18. Reuniting with Keenan Allen, who is back on a one-year deal, should help Herbert's efficiency, but the loss of left tackle Rashawn Slater, who tore his patellar tendon and will miss the 2025 season is a devastating blow to the offense.

Rashawn Slater tears patellar tendon, out for season

Offensive tackle is the strength of the Los Angeles Chargers offensive line as they have one of the best tackle tandems (Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt) in the NFL.

Unfortunately, their offense was dealt a huge blow on Thursday as Slater will miss the entire 2025 NFL season.

Heading into the season, PFF ranked their offensive line as the 10th-best unit and noted the question marks on the interior as Zion Johnson has not lived up to his draft pedigree, but hopefully Mekhi Becton, who played well last year for the Philadelphia Eagles, will help solidify the middle of the offensive line.

Alt will shift to left tackle, and swing tackle Trey Pipkins III will fill in on the right side.

Keenan Allen signs one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers

Embed from Getty Images

The Los Angeles Chargers have signed wide receiver Keenan Allen to a one-year deal worth $8.52 million, per NFL Media's Tom Pelissero.

Aside from the 2024 season (Chicago Bears), Allen has played the rest of his career with the Chargers.

Finishing last season with 70 catches for 744 yards and seven touchdowns on 121 targets, Allen was the WR35 in half-PPR scoring.

The Chargers drafted Ladd McConkey in 2024, so he was playing for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2023 when Allen last played for the Chargers.

Allen was targeted 150 times in 13 games as Justin Herbert's go-to receiver in 2023. Yes, 11.5 targets per game! Allen finished 2023 with a career-high 108 receptions, 1,243 yards (second-most in his career) and seven touchdowns. Allen was out Weeks 15-18, but he finished third among wide receivers in fantasy scoring behind Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb.

The team tried to bring back Mike Williams, but he opted for retirement after re-signing with the Chargers, and they drafted Tre Harris (Round 2) and KeAndre Lambert-Smith (Round 5) in the 2025 NFL Draft.

While the now 33-year-old Allen won't perform as fantasy's WR3 (like Weeks 1-14 in 2023) or even WR8 (his full-season 2023), he will immediately become the passing game's secondary option behind McConkey.

Before the announcement of this deal, McConkey, Harris, Quentin Johnston were ranked 11th, 55th, and 59th, respectively, in my 2025 fantasy football wide receiver rankings. While I likely won't move McConkey down, I will move Harris and Johnston closer to the WR70 range and move Allen up to the WR3/flex range.

2025 Fantasy Football QB Rankings

1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Putting aside the debate over who should have won the NFL MVP award last season, it's clear that both Allen and Lamar Jackson had MVP-caliber seasons, especially as voters split their votes for MVP and the 2024 AP NFL All-Pro first team. Going into fantasy drafts this summer, Allen vs. Jackson will be the difficult (or easy) choice facing fantasy managers — and to be clear, the "easy" part is that you can't go wrong with either.

Allen posted five-year lows in several passing categories — attempts (483), yards (3,731) and touchdowns (28) — but his dual-threat skill set is what makes him so dangerous. Allen now has (at least) 12 rushing touchdowns in back-to-back seasons and 500-plus rushing yards in four consecutive seasons. He has finished as a top-two fantasy quarterback for five consecutive seasons.

2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

What a year it was Jackson, who posted career highs in passing yards (4,172) and touchdowns (41) while leading the NFL in TD% (8.6%), yards per attempt (8.8) and passer rating (119.6)! It was the second time in his career that he has finished as fantasy's QB1. He posted a 9% TD% in his other overall QB1 season (2019), and then followed that up with a 6.9% rate in 2020. His career average is 6.4%. Long story short, he was absolutely phenomenal in 2024, but last year's ratios would be unsustainable for any quarterback including Jackson (even though he could repeat as fantasy's QB1). Although he has a max of five rushing touchdowns over the past four seasons, Jackson is the NFL's all-time leader in quarterback rushing yards, averaging a whopping 1,019 yards per 17 games over his career.

2025 Fantasy Football RB Rankings

1. Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons

You could argue that Robinson (not Saquon Barkley) should be the RB1 in 2025 fantasy football drafts, especially considering Barkley's historic 2024 volume (most combined regular-season and playoff touches in a decade). The 23-year-old running back racked up 1,887 scrimmage yards and scored 15 total touchdowns on 365 touches including 61 receptions. From Week 6 on, Robinson averaged more fantasy points per game (21.1) than all other running backs. During that 12-game span, he averaged 19.8/97.6 rushing, 3.6/23.3 receiving and scored 14 total touchdowns.

2. Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions

Gibbs set or tied career highs across the board in rushing (250/1,412/16, 5.6 YPC) and receiving (52/517/4, 9.9 Y/R) in his second season. Gibbs was also top five among running backs with a minimum of 17 targets in yards per route run (1.67) and YAC per reception (11.5), per PFF. Gibbs was especially good when David Montgomery missed the final three regular-season games (RB1 overall), but he was also the RB3 (RB4 on a PPG basis) from Weeks 1 to 15 when Montgomery was also active.

2025 Fantasy Football WR Rankings

1. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals

Posting career highs in his age-24 season, Chase led the NFL in receptions (127), yards (1,708) and touchdowns (17) in 2024 to become the fifth triple crown winner since the league merger. Chase had at least five catches and/or 50 yards in all but one game in 2024, but he also had several monster games. There were nine 35-point wide receiver performances league-wide in 2024, and Chase had three (one-third) of them. From Week 5 on, Chase had a 31.46% target share with a weekly minimum of 24.32%. He's the easy choice to select first overall in fantasy drafts this summer.

2. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

Lamb played several weeks dealing with a shoulder injury before shutting it down with a couple of games to go. While his (and Dak Prescott's) injuries factor in, his numbers were down considerably from 2023. Lamb set career lows in yards per reception (11.8) and target (7.9) and his per game averages dropped from 7.9/102.9/0.7 (2023) to 6.7/79.6/0.4 (2024). When everything's clicking, however, Lamb is as productive as any receiver in the league.

2025 Fantasy Football TE Rankings

1. Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders

Bowers led all tight ends in receptions (112), targets (153) and receiving yards (1,194) despite being a rookie with sub-par quarterback play. Only George Kittle scored more fantasy points on a per-game basis, and Bowers led the position in overall points. While it may be difficult to outproduce his rookie numbers, few, if any, tight ends are the focal point of their passing offense the way Bowers is. Even though the Raiders will run the ball more often in 2025, Ashton Jeanty's presence will benefit the pass catchers indirectly by helping to sustain longer drives and Geno Smith will make the passing attack more efficient.

2. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals

The good news is that McBride smashed previous career highs in targets (147), receptions (111) and receiving yards (1,146). Among all players (wide receivers included), he finished eighth, fourth, and 11th, respectively, in those categories. The bad news is that he had only two touchdowns and has a total of six through three NFL seasons. If there's a glimmer of hope, McBride finished top three in TE targets from inside the 20 (21, T-2nd), 15 (16, T-2nd), 10 (12, 1st) and 5 (seven, T-1st).

Yes, Brock Bowers deserves to be TE1 in fantasy drafts, but it's a 1A/1B (or 1A/1A) situation with Bowers and McBride. Even though I have Bowers ranked ahead of McBride, the former Colorado State tight end may offer a little more value nearly a round later.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Half-PPR Mock (3rd Pick)

Half-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 3rd Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.03 - Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Detroit Lions

Perhaps a surprise by many to not take Saquon Barkley here, but I have Bijan Robinson and Gibbs ranked as the RB1/RB2, respectively, in my 2025 fantasy football RB rankings.

2.10 - A.J. Brown, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

Leading the league in books read on the sideline during games, Brown missed four games in 2024 but channeled his inner excellence to finish with 67 receptions for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns. While there were some quiet games, Brown's 2024 per-game averages of receptions (5.2) and yards (83.0) weren't that much lower than his career averages (5.7/86.8). The only real concern with Brown from a weekly fantasy production standpoint is the potential for a big day from Saquon Barkley and the game script leading to low passing volume overall.

3.03 - Trey McBride, TE, Arizona Cardinals

4.10 - DJ Moore, WR, Chicago Bears

Moore posted a career high in receptions (98) in 2024 while posting career lows in yards per reception (9.9), yards per target (6.9) and ADOT (7.5). In fact, those numbers are much lower than his non-2024 career averages — 14.3 Y/R, 8.7 Y/TGT and 11.4 ADOT. With second-year improvements from Caleb Williams as well as improved coaching and play calling, we should see better overall numbers from Moore in 2025.

Caleb Williams: Poised for a breakout season, Williams benefits from the trifecta of improvements in offensive coaching, protection and weapons. After completely revamping their interior offensive line in free agency, the Bears also used their first three draft picks on the offense — tight end Colston Loveland, wide receiver Luther Burden III, and offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo. Williams (along with Justin Fields) is one of my favorite targets later when I don't draft a top-four option.

Justin Fields: The same year (2022) that Fields threw for 2,242 yards, 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, he finished as fantasy's QB6 in points per game and overall. Of course, it was the elite rushing production (160/1143/8) that outweighed his anemic passing stats that year. Even before the Steelers benched him in favor of Russell Wilson in 2024, Fields was the QB6 in fantasy points per game through his six starts. I expect to be overweight Fields in 2025, especially in best ball formats.

Kyler Murray: While fantasy managers were hoping for more from Murray in 2024, his final numbers were still solid albeit not spectacular. Murray threw multiple touchdowns in only four games, but he had another four multi-score games when including rushing touchdowns. Even with more weekly inconsistency than you may like, Murray has upside as a back-end QB1, especially if Marvin Harrison Jr. and their connection take a big step forward in year two, as many expect.
