Bryce Young: Young is obviously Carolina's quarterback of the future, but it was nice to see Frank Reich name him the starter (over Andy Dalton) early in the process. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 draft is always composed, processes information quickly and thrives when extending and making plays outside of structure.

Miles Sanders: Sanders set career highs in rushing last season with 259 carries for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns. Through four NFL seasons, he has averaged 5.02 yards per carry. With Jalen Hurts under center, Sanders (and Philly's running backs) weren't targeted often, but he had 50 receptions as a rookie in 2022. There's a good chance that he's more involved as a receiver than he was over the past several seasons.

D.J. Chark: Chark will compete with Adam Thielen, Terrace Marshall Jr. and Jonathan Mingo for targets, which means that Chark has a real shot to lead the team's wide receivers in fantasy points in 2023. Chark has appeared in only 28 games over the past three seasons, but he had a breakout age-23 season before that with 73/1,008/8 in 2019.

Adam Thielen: After spending his entire career in Minnesota, Thielen begins anew with the Panthers and a rookie quarterback in his age-33 season. Thielen has scored 30 touchdowns over the past three seasons, and he has a minimum of 67 catches and 710 yards in each of those seasons.

Jonathan Mingo: The Panthers used a top-40 pick on Mingo, a big receiver (6-2, 220) who had a strong showing at the combine (4.46 40-yard dash, 39.5" vertical jump and 22 bench press reps). While the college production wasn't elite as a four-year starter, he's a good route runner who uses his size and strong hands to win in contested-catch situations.

Hayden Hurst: Hurst has missed four games and averaged only 8.5 yards per reception (or less) in back-to-back seasons, but he averaged a career-high four receptions per game last season. Given the relative uncertainty at wide receiver, it's possible that Hurst comes close to his averages from last year.

Jacksonville Jaguars Fantasy Football Projections 2022

Trevor Lawrence: One of eight quarterbacks to throw more than 600 pass attempts in 2021, few things went right for Lawrence and the Jaguars in 2021. Throwing more interceptions (league-high 17) than touchdowns (12), the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2021 averaged only 6.0 Y/A. On a positive note, Urban Meyer is gone and the team made some additions to its offensive line and pass catchers this offseason. In addition, the coaching staff has talked up Lawrence's development this offseason.

Travis Etienne: Etienne missed his entire 2021 rookie season due to a Lisfranc injury, but the former two-time ACC Offensive Player of the Year is elusive with home run speed and a versatile skill set to be used as a weapon in the passing game. In fact, he talked up his interest in being deployed as a Deebo Samuel-like hybrid weapon this summer.

James Robinson: Robinson has been highly productive when on the field. Through two seasons, Robinson has averaged 4.55 yards per carry, racked up 2,403 scrimmage yards, hauled in 80 receptions and scored 18 total touchdowns. Not only did Robinson tear his Achilles at the end of the 2021 season, but the former UDFA will compete with first-rounder Travis Etienne for touches in 2022. That said, the new coaching staff has talked up Robinson and he did not start training camp on the PUP list.

Christian Kirk: Getting a larger contract than most expected, Kirk is better suited to be a(ny) team's (Jacksonville's) WR2 even though he was paid like a WR1. Kirk set career highs in both receptions (77) and yards (982) last season, but he's not much better than a WR4 in fantasy.

Marvin Jones: In his first season in Jacksonville, Jones had 73 catches for 832 yards and four touchdowns. While Jones scored only four touchdowns last season, he was targeted 11 times inside the 10 -- only seven players had more. Jones has finished as a top-35 fantasy wide receiver in four of the past five seasons.

Evan Engram: Engram set (still) career highs in his rookie season (2017) in targets (115), receptions (64), yards (722) and touchdowns (six). Since then, he's had a couple of injury-plagued seasons and a couple of seasons plagued by ineffective coaching. At a minimum, the Jags new TE-friendly coaching staff should get more out of Engram, which could make him a draft-day discount.

Travis Etienne: A two-time ACC Offensive Player of the Year, Etienne surprised many by returning to school for another season. As impressive as James Robinson was as a rookie (UDFA), Etienne's talent and (first-round) draft pedigree make him the favorite to emerge as the team's primary back sooner than later even if Robinson gets more touches in Week 1.

James Robinson: Robinson had modest performances in Weeks 14 and 15 and missed Weeks 16 and 17. Before that, however, he was the favorite for 2020 Fantasy Football MVP (if such an award actually existed).

As lead back of a one-win team, the UDFA was fourth in half-PPR fantasy points, fourth in YFS and third in touches through Week 13. Robinson has shown he can be highly effective as the featured back, but a new coaching staff and a first-round running back joining the mix could lead to a diminishing role as the season progresses.

Laviska Shenault: Shenault Jr. played only 10 snaps in Week 9 and then missed the following two games. Outside of those three games, the rookie had a minimum of three receptions in every game. Over the final five games of the season, he had 25 catches (on 36 targets) for 246 yards and four touchdowns and added six carries for 31 yards and he was the WR16 (half-PPR) over that stretch.

D.J. Chark: Chark had 73 catches for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns in 2019, but he missed three games in 2020 and averaged 12.9 yards per game less he did in 2019. There is the potential for a bounce-back in his age-25 season with improved quarterback play, but missed time (broken finger, surgery) will slow his ability to build chemistry with Trevor Lawrence. Chark is expected to be ready for Week 1.

Marvin Jones: Jones averaged 61.1 YPG -- a three-year high -- last season and has averaged no less than 56.4 YPG over the past five years. In addition, he has scored nine touchdowns in three of his past four seasons. While Chark is a bounce-back candidate and Shenault Jr. is a breakout candidate, Jones is a solid depth option later in drafts.

Fantasy Football Week 3 WR Waiver Wire

Every week, we examine players that may be available on your league's waiver wire that could help your team in the short and/or long term.

For a player to be listed, he must be owned in 50 percent (or less) of Yahoo! leagues. The goal is to provide recommendations of players that have a greater chance of being available on your league's waiver wire. Of course, your league's size and settings could significantly impact whether these players (or better options) are available in your particular league(s).

With that said, here are some wide receiver waiver-wire options to consider heading into Week 3 (Yahoo! % rostered in parenthesis):

1. Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons (22 percent)

In the nine games following the Mohamed Sanu trade to New England last season, Gage hauled in 45 receptions (5.0/G) for 402 yards (44.7/G) and a touchdown on 66 targets (7.33/G). While he averaged only 8.93 Y/R, Gage had at least four catches in seven of those nine games.

So far this season, Gage has picked up where he left off in 2019. In fact, he's been better.

Through two games, the team's No. 3 receiver had 9/114 (on 12 targets) and 6/46/1 (on nine targets) in Weeks 1 and 2, respectively. Excluding Monday Night Football, Gage currently ranks as the WR11 in PPR, WR14 in half-PPR and WR16 in non-PPR this season.

2. Corey Davis, Tennessee Titans (42 percent)

The former top-five overall pick had another solid fantasy outing with three catches for 36 yards and a touchdown on five targets. In Week 1, Davis converted seven-of-eight targets into 101 yards. Through Sunday's games, only the Seahawks have allowed more fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers than the Vikings, his Week 3 opponent. It's unclear if A.J. Brown's knee injury will sideline him another week.

3. Allen Lazard, Green Bay Packers (47 percent)

Davante Adams left Sunday's game (twice) due to injury and if he were unable to go in Week 3, it would boost Lazard's weekly outlook. Either way, the No. 2 receiver for the Packers is worth a stash. Upcoming matchups against the Saints and Falcons should both be high-scoring affairs. Through two weeks, Lazard has seven catches for 108 yards and a touchdown and one rush for 19 yards.

4. Laviska Shenault Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars (percent)

Built more like a running back than a wide receiver, the Jags found a way to get the ball into Shenault's hands in Week 2 and let him make plays. The rookie finished with three catches for 35 yards and had five carries for 37 yards. Through the first two weeks of the season (excluding MNF), Shenault has performed at the WR3 level in all scoring formats.

5. Chase Claypool, Pittsburgh Steelers (6 percent)

While 84 of his 88 yards came on one (big) play, Claypool finished Week 2 with three catches for 88 yards and a touchdown. The early-season target share may be low, but the talented second-rounder is a height-weight-speed mismatch that should get more run as the season progresses and is worth a stash.

6. Steven Sims Jr., Washington Football Team (6 percent)

Sims has three catches and 50-plus yards in each of the first two games to open the season. While those numbers aren't elite, Sims was productive down the stretch last season as well with 20/230/4 on 36 targets over the final four games of 2019. At a minimum, Sims is worth a look for those in deeper leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars Fantasy Football Projections 2020

While the Jags are the early favorites to win the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes, there is little competition for Minshew in 2020. As a rookie, Minshew threw for 3,271 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions. An underrated aspect of his game is his rushing ability as Minshew averaged 5.1 YPC and gained 344 yards on the ground. Only four quarterbacks -- Lamar Jackson (1,206), Kyler Murray (544), Josh Allen (510) and Deshaun Watson (413) -- rushed for more.
