Pittsburgh Steelers 2025 Fantasy Football Projections

Our 2025 fantasy football projections below are for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Aaron Rodgers: Rodgers was QB19 on a per-game basis in 2024 with Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams (for 11 games). Yes, the Steelers traded for Jonnu Smith, but the receiving corps is a downgrade from what he had last year and it will be interesting to see how he and DK Metcalf mesh. While the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, there's zero reason to draft Rodgers in standard (single-QB) leagues.

Bryce Young: Young was benched after a terrible start through the first two weeks last season (only 225 passing yards, 4.01 Y/A, no touchdowns and three interceptions). He didn't start again until Week 8, but he played much better, especially over the final three games (64.8%, 7.0 Y/A, seven touchdowns and no interceptions). After Carolina's Week 11 bye, Young was the QB8 in fantasy PPG (21.2) through the end of the season.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Drafts

The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will use the fantasy football mock draft simulator to complete fantasy football mock drafts. And we will do so using a variety of scoring formats — point per reception (PPR), half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues — and league sizes. The goal is to provide you with a good representation of the team that you may be able to draft given your league settings while also providing the rationale of why we made the picks we did.

That said, nothing beats practicing yourself so (check out the simulator) and complete a mock in a matter of minutes.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Half-PPR Mock (11th Pick)

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.11 - Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans

Collins has missed seven games over the past two seasons, but the now 26-year-old receiver has averaged 85.3 YPG (fifth best), 15.6 Y/R (eighth) and scored a total of 15 touchdowns (tied, 10th) over that span (among wide receivers with at least 100 targets). He has finished among the top three wide receivers in PFF's Y/RR metric in each of the past two seasons — 3.11 (second) in 2023 and 2.87 (third) in 2024, respectively. If Collins can stay healthy for a full season, the emerging superstar could truly make a jump into the top tier of fantasy receivers in 2025.

2.02 - Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Among the top 10 receivers in fantasy points per game, seven of them missed multiple games in 2024. While Thomas was 11th on a per-game basis, he played a full season and finished fourth in fantasy points. As injuries sidelined Jacksonville's other top 2024 pass catchers (Evan Engram and Christian Kirk), Thomas stepped up down the stretch with all six of his double-digit target games occuring in the final six weeks of the season. During that span, he had the second-most targets (70) behind only Ja'Marr Chase (75) and ranked top five in catches (45), yards (593) and touchdowns (five). While Engram and Kirk are no longer in Jacksonville, the Jags upgraded their No. 2 receiver opposite Thomas by trading up to draft Travis Hunter, last year's Heisman Trophy and Biletnikoff Award winner (among many other awards). Hunter's presence may cut slightly into his target domination, but secondaries will have to give Hunter more defensive attention than they would have to their pre-draft No. 2 wideout(s).

3.11 - Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Adams, who was traded midseason from the Raiders to the Jets, still managed to extend his streak of 1,000-yard, eight-TD seasons to five. Even though he turns 33 on Christmas Eve and won't dominate targets the way he had at previous stops, he should have (or come close to having) another 1,000/8 season.

4.02 - Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Perhaps his outlook is even rosier in dynasty leagues than redraft given the presence of Najee Harris, but Hampton should emerge as the team's lead back by season's end. Harris's "superficial eye injury" will almost certainly accelerate that shift. Currently, there is no update on when Harris will return although he's walking laps around the field as "part of his rehab process."

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team PPR Mock (9th Pick)

1.09 - Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions

St. Brown has been a model of consistency — year in and year out, week in and week out. ARSB has 90-plus catches in all four seasons, 1,161-plus yards in the past three seasons, and double-digit touchdowns in back-to-back seasons. He had five-plus catches in 14 of 17 games last season and his other games were four, three and two catches. Only Ja'Marr Chase (15) had more such games in 2024, and he's tied with Davante Adams for the most five-catch games (49) since 2021, per Stathead.

Among the top 10 receivers in fantasy points per game, seven of them missed multiple games in 2024. 3.09 - Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Evans, who will turn 32 in August, extended his remarkable streak of 1,000-yard seasons to 11 (albeit just barely: 1,004 yards) in 2024. While he missed three games last season, Evans remains one of the most dominant red-zone weapons in the league — 24 receiving touchdowns over the past two seasons and double-digit scores in four of the past five years.

4.04 - Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Walker has missed multiple games in each of his three NFL seasons including six missed games last year. While he averaged only 3.7 yards per carry and 4.4 yards per touch, both career lows, his PFF elusive rating (113.5) was a career high and the third most among all running backs with at least 100 carries in 2024. Walker should benefit from the new coaching staff's heavy use of outside zone and there is plenty of upside if his health cooperates.

C.J. Stroud: Stroud has consistently earned praise from his coaches and teammates throughout the offseason. Unsurprisingly, he's been officially named the Week 1 starter against the Baltimore Ravens. An accurate passer when given time in the pocket at Ohio State, Stroud consistently made plays outside of structure against the Georgia Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff. He's off the fantasy radar in single-QB redraft leagues, but he should increase the overall efficiency of Houston's offense in 2023.

Dameon Pierce: Pierce had never exceeded 106 carries in his four seasons at Florida, but he reached that number through his first six games last year with the Texans. While he missed the final four games of the season with an ankle injury, he had 220 carries for 939 yards and four touchdowns through Week 14. He also added 30 catches for 165 yards and a touchdown. The former Gator was the RB15 through Week 14. Despite Houston signing Devin Singletary, Pierce is still a viable RB2 for fantasy managers in 2023.

Devin Singletary: Through four seasons in Buffalo, Singletary had more than 150 carries and averaged exactly 2.4 receptions every year. The workload will certainly decline in Houston, but he would become a RB2 if Pierce were to miss any time.

Nico Collins: Collins appeared in only 10 games last season, but he ranked second to Brandin Cooks on a per-game basis in receptions (3.7) and yards (48.1). With Cooks traded to the Dallas Cowboys, Collins is a breakout candidate and the favorite to lead the Texans' receiving corps in fantasy production.

Robert Woods: Woods arguably had his worst season as he set career lows in yards per reception (9.9), yards per target (5.8) and yards per game (31.0). Although Ryan Tannehill also missed five games, Woods reached the 40-yard receiving mark in only four of 17 games with the Titans in 2022. While his upside is relatively low, it's possible he emerges as the team's most consistent receiver.

C.J. Stroud: Stroud displayed pinpoint accuracy when given time in the pocket at Ohio State, and he had an eye-opening performance against Georgia in the College Football Playoff with how consistently he made plays outside of structure. Although he hasn't officially been handed the starting job yet, he has earned praise and respect from his new coaches and teammates. Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson has said that Stroud is "already way, way ahead of pace" with his footwork and timing. Meanwhile, left tackle Laremy Tunsil recently said, "How I describe C.J.: dawg. He's a straight dawg. He comes in there ready to work, he handles the huddle perfectly and he goes out there and balls, man."

Davis Mills: Considering the circumstances, Mills exceeded his 2021 expectations. The third-round rookie completed slightly more than two-thirds of his pass attempts while throwing 16 touchdowns to 10 interceptions over 13 games. Entering his second season as the clear starter, there is an opportunity to build upon last year's production even if he isn't yet a fantasy-viable option outside of two-QB and Super Flex leagues.

Dameon Pierce: Pierce never exceeded 106 carries in any season in Gainesville, but the former Gator has featured-back size who runs with physicality and good contact balance. Impressing in training camp and the preseason, Pierce looks "more like he could be the lead back Week 1."

Rex Burkhead: In his first season with the Texans, Burkhead had 122 carries for 427 yards and three touchdowns and added 25 catches for 186 yards. He now has 25-plus catches in three consecutive seasons and four of the past five. While he may rank third on the team in carries, Burkhead should handle the vast majority of pass-down reps.

Marlon Mack: In 2018 and 2019 combined, Mack rushed for 1,999 yards and 17 touchdowns on 442 carries (4.52 YPC). Since then, he has appeared in just seven games with a total of 37 scoreless touches and he appears to behind Pierce (early downs) and Burkhead (third downs) for snaps to enter the season.

Brandin Cooks: Cooks has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in back-to-back seasons and six of the past seven. In addition, he has finished as a top-20 fantasy receiver in six of the past seven seasons. As the team's clear go-to receiver, he'll be a reliable WR2 for fantasy managers in 2022 with the upside to outperform his draft status.

Nico Collins: As a rookie, Collins finished with 33 catches for 445 yards and a touchdown. With John Metchie III (acute promyelocytic leukemia) expected to miss the 2022 season, it opens up opportunities for Collins to make a second-year jump. (On a positive -- and more important -- note, Metchie described APL as "the most curable form of Leukemia" and he expects to "make a recovery at a later point in time.")

Brevin Jordan: Jordan made his NFL debut in Week 8 and finished with 20 catches for 178 yards and three touchdowns. While those aren't prolific numbers, he was fantasy's TE24 in half-PPR scoring from Week 8 on. Atop the team's depth chart heading into his second season, there is some sleeper appeal with the former Hurricane, especially in TE-premium formats.

It's likely that Pierce sees his role expand as the season progresses, even if he's behind Mack (and/or Rex Burkhead) to start the season.

Marlon Mack: In 2018 and 2019 combined, Mack rushed for 1,999 yards and 17 touchdowns on 442 carries (4.52 YPC). Since then, he has appeared in just seven games with a total of 37 scoreless touches. Signed to a $2 million, one-year deal, Mack could outperform his ADP as part of a three-headed running back committee that currently lacks a clear top guy.

Rex Burkhead: In his first season with the Texans, Burkhead had 122 carries for 427 yards and three touchdowns and added 25 catches for 186 yards. He now has 25-plus catches in three consecutive seasons and four of the past five.

Brandin Cooks: Cooks has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in back-to-back seasons and six of the past seven. In addition, he has finished as a top-20 fantasy receiver in six of the past seven seasons. As the team's clear go-to receiver, he'll be a reliable WR2 for fantasy managers in 2022.

Nico Collins: As a rookie, Collins finished with 33 catches for 445 yards and a touchdown. With John Metchie III (acute promyelocytic leukemia) expected to miss the 2022 season, it opens up opportunities for Collins to make a second-year jump. (On a positive -- and more important -- note, Metchie described APL as "the most curable form of Leukemia" and he expects to "make a recovery at a later point in time.")

Brevin Jordan: Jordan made his NFL debut in Week 8 and finished with 20 catches for 178 yards and three touchdowns. While those aren't prolific numbers, he was fantasy's TE24 in half-PPR scoring from Week 8 on. Atop the team's depth chart heading into his second season, there is some sleeper appeal with the former Hurricane.

Tyrod Taylor: At +30,000 (via Bovada.lv), no team is a bigger long shot to win Super Bowl 56. Assuming the season goes off the tracks sooner than later, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the team give third-round rookie Davis Mills some starts. For as long as Taylor starts, however, he will be have plenty of streaming appeal given his rushing upside and plenty of favorable game scripts (from a fantasy perspective).

Davis Mills: As noted above, the team's likely poor record could lead to some starts for the third-rounder out of Stanford, which makes him a name to know in 2-QB leagues.

Deshaun Watson: Watson's unresolved legal issues as well as his trade request (under contract through 2025) this offseason adds a layer (or multiple layers) of uncertainty for Watson heading into the 2021 season. It's possible that he doesn't play a snap in 2021 even though he's currently on the Texans' 53-man roster.

David Johnson: Johnson's three best games of the season occurred over the final three games of the season -- 18.8 half-PPR fantasy points (RB13), 27.4 (RB4) and 19.5 (RB11), respectively. The Texans should be one of the worst teams in the NFL in 2021 and the additions of Phillip Lindsay, Rex Burkhead and Mark Ingram further muddy DJ's 2021 outlook.

Phillip Lindsay: Beginning his career by rushing for 1,000-plus yards and hauling in 35 receptions in back-to-back seasons, Lindsay missed five games but was also on the wrong side of Denver's timeshare with Melvin Gordon in 2020. The former UDFA joins a crowded backfield in Houston that will be hampered often by negative game scripts.

Brandin Cooks: Averaging a career-high 76.7 YPG, Cooks finished his first season in Houston with 81 catches for 1,150 yards and six touchdowns. From Week 5 on, Cooks had at least 59 yards in 10 of 11 games. During that 11-game span, he averaged 6.5 catches and 92 yards per game.

Even though Deshaun Watson is still (currently) on the roster, it's reasonable to project lower year-over-year numbers for Cooks with Tyrod Taylor to start. At the same time, he should be the recipient of as many targets as he can handle.

Nico Collins: Based on his combination of size (6-4, 215) and speed (4.45 forty), Collins enters 2021 with some sleeper appeal for a team that should be trailing (and therefore throwing) often.

Anthony Miller: No longer in Matt Nagy's doghouse, Miller will start fresh in Houston, but things may not necessarily be any better in terms of his fantasy production. In addition, Miller (shoulder) is expected to miss the start of the season.

The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Packers:

Rotoworld - Thor Nystrom (8/21)

22. Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, USC

After eschewing a glaring receiver need this past offseason, the Packers must address the position heading into 2021 – and not with more stop-gap measures. This pick would reunite St. Brown with his brother, Equanimeous. It would also give the Packers a versatile, high-ceiling receiver prospect who can handle outside duties but was also a killer for USC's Air Raid in the slot last fall.

PFF - Mike Renner (8/19)

24. Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota

It's getting to the point where if the Packers don't take a receiver in the first round next spring, Aaron Rodgers may just up and demand a trade. Bateman has an incredibly polished game for a man who was only a true sophomore last season, and he can get off press at the line of scrimmage at an NFL level already. He led all receivers in college football by averaging 3.6 yards per route from a split-wide alignment.

The Draft Network - Kyle Crabbs (8/19)

20. Jay Tufele, IDL, USC

The addition of Tufele might be a bit of a surprise, but the Packers are a team that needs help in run defense and after locking in Kenny Clark for the long-term, the Packers would love to get another stud to play next to him and keep the team's pass-rushers in one-on-ones off the edge. At 315 pounds, Tufele fits the mold to play inside for the Packers.

Pro Football Network - Oliver Hodgkinson (8/16)

18. Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama

The Green Bay Packers had arguably one of the more eye-opening drafts in the NFL last year. With an expectation of surrounding Aaron Rodgers with talent, the organization drafted his successor and a running back in the first two rounds. You would expect the Packers to address the wide receiver position in the 2021 NFL Draft, although there is a need to strengthen at cornerback, linebacker, and offensive line.

Patrick Surtain Jr. has all the ingredients to emulate his father's success in the NFL. Surtain Sr. was the 44th selection of the Miami Dolphins in 1998, and there'‘s every reason to suspect that Surtain Jr. will be drafted considerably above that in the 2021 NFL Draft. Surtain Jr. combines prototypical size, good ball skills, and an ability to create turnovers in various ways to rank as one of the best cornerbacks in the class.

ESPN - Todd McShay (8/12)

18. Nico Collins, WR, Michigan

Seriously, what are we doing here? Ten first-round picks for Green Bay since 2012 and only one -- Jordan Love, a quarterback -- went toward the offense. Odd strategy when you have one of the game's best QBs in Aaron Rodgers now entering his age-37 season. Aaron Jones broke out, and Davante Adams is going to put up points, but can someone in the Packers' front office get this man another playmaker? Please. While Collins had just 37 catches last season, he turned that into 729 yards and seven scores with mediocre QB play. He has great size at 6-foot-4 and plenty of vertical speed.

The Draft Network - Jordan Reid (8/10)

26. Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue

One of the most surprising moves, or lack thereof, this offseason was the Packers failing to draft a receiver. The franchise hasn't drafted a wide receiver in the first round since selecting Javon Walker in 2002, but the franchise finally breaks the streak of failing to select a player at the position with Moore. The Purdue target has already opted out of the season and declared for the 2021 draft. Moore had a breakout freshman season where he totaled 114 receptions for 1,257 yards and 12 touchdowns, but last season he only played in four games after suffering a hamstring injury.

A receiver that possesses a running back build, he would remind the franchise of another successful wideout in Randall Cobb. A thick and low center of gravity player that's electric from the slot, during his standout first season, 906 of Moore's receiving yards came after the catch. Also recording a team-high 21 broken tackles, which more than doubled the next best output. Catch consistency is an area Moore will need to improve upon as he recorded 13 drops over the course of his career.

Pro Football Network - Matthew Valdovinos (8/9)

18. Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU

You're welcome, Packers fans. I know your front office has neglected your wishes and refused to get Aaron Rodgers weapons outside of Davante Adams. Well, not in this mock draft. The Packers land Chase who seems to be the consensus WR1 among draft pundits currently. I'm a bit lower on Chase, and I think the NFL will be too.

He lacks elite athletic ability and he plays much bigger than he actually is. However, working across from Adams will mean Chase sees a high volume of one-on-one coverage, something he can take advantage of with Aaron Rodgers. Excellent value for the Pack here.

The Draft Network - Joe Marino (8/3)

26. Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue

I know Green Bay doesn't pick wide receivers in the first round, but this should be an exception. Moore would be the perfect versatile weapon for the offense who can create after the catch and make explosive plays.

The Packers don't have a player like Moore in their weaponry and he would go a long way in filling out Rodgers'/Love's supporting cast. Having a guy that can consistently create space, whether that is separation or creating post-catch, can make a huge difference in keeping the offense on schedule.
