Ryan Tannehill: Tannehill missed five games in 2022 and averaged fewer than 14 fantasy points per game for the season. Even though he was a fringe top-12 weekly quarterback in five of 12 games, he had only one 20-point performance (20.02, Week 11) all season. If Tannehill or the team struggles, it wouldn't be a surprise if the Titans transitioned to second-round pick Will Levis at some point during the season.

Derrick Henry: There are certainly concerns — age, cumulative career workload, the team's offensive issues, etc. Even so, Henry has led the NFL in rush attempts in three of the past four seasons (including 349 in 2022) and he's guaranteed a massive workload, as long as he remains healthy. He set a career high in receptions (33) in 2022, but he actually averaged more receptions per game in 2021 (2.3) than 2022 (2.1).

Of course, it would be preferred for Henry to be more involved as a receiver, but his relative lack of involvement in the passing game has been an over-emphasized reason to avoid Henry (at least in half-PPR formats). Here is where Henry has finished on a points-per-game basis in half-PPR scoring over the past four years (min. 8G played): third in 2022 (17.9), first in 2021 (23.0), third in 2020 (20.2) and second (tied) in 2019 (19.0), respectively.

Treylon Burks: Burks had a modest 33 catches for 444 yards and a touchdown in 11 games as a rookie last season. While the Titans operate one of the league's most run-heavy offenses, there is breakout potential heading into his second season. ESPN's Turron Davenport notes that Burks has a "noticeably leaner build" this year and he's "playing at a different speed from his rookie season."

Chigoziem Okonkwo: Okonkwo finished second on the team in receiving yards last year to Robert Woods, who is no longer on the roster. The rookie ended the year with 32 receptions for 450 yards (14.1 Y/R) and three touchdowns. There is breakout potential heading into the athletic (4.52 40-yard dash) tight end's second year. Among tight ends with 30-plus targets in 2022, Okonkwo led the position in YAC per reception (7.8) and yards per route run (2.61), per PFF stats.

Dallas Cowboys 2023 Fantasy Football Projections

Dak Prescott: Prescott missed five games after getting injured in the season opener. From Week 7 (when he returned from injury) through the end of the season, Prescott was fantasy's QB6 — QB7 on a PPG basis. Even without Dalton Schultz as a security blanket, Prescott's overall weapons are improved with a better WR2 (Brandin Cooks). In addition, Michael Gallup should be better, now that he's another year removed from his ACL tear.

Tony Pollard: Sharing the workload with Ezekiel Elliott, Pollard rushed for 1,007 yards and nine touchdowns and added 39 catches for 371 yards and another three touchdowns. With Elliott no longer on the roster (although there is at least a chance the still-unsigned Elliott could return), Pollard enters 2023 as a mid-tier RB1 in fantasy drafts.

CeeDee Lamb: After Amari Cooper was traded to the Browns last offseason, Lamb stepped into the WR1 role and shattered previous career highs with 107 receptions for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns on 156 targets. Lamb finished as fantasy's WR6 in half-PPR scoring in 2022, and he was the WR3 from Weeks 7-18 when Dak Prescott returned from injury.

Brandin Cooks: Now onto his fifth NFL team, Cooks has logged six 1,000-yard seasons, at least one of which with all four of his previous teams. Coming off a disappointing 57/699/3 season in 2022, Cooks should improve upon last year's numbers and is a viable fantasy WR3.

Michael Gallup: Gallup missed only the first three games of 2022, but his production was abysmal (39/424/4 in the regular season). Including two playoff games, he had less than 50 receiving yards in 15 of 16 games. Getting back to an 1,100-yard season (2019) is highly unlikely, but he should be better in 2023 now that he's another year removed from his torn ACL.

Jake Ferguson: The Cowboys used a second-round pick on Luke Schoonmaker, but I expect Ferguson to pace the position group in receiving now that Dalton Schultz is in Houston. Even so, it's unlikely that Ferguson, Schoonmaker or any Cowboys tight end becomes fantasy-relevant in standard-sized leagues in 2023.

Anthony Richardson: Indianapolis was arguably the most ideal landing spot for Richardson. After all, new coach Shane Steichen tailored Philadelphia's offense to best suit the skill set of Jalen Hurts. Ups and downs should be expected for Richardson, but his elite athletic profile gives him enormous rushing upside from the start. Given his built-in familiarity with the offense, however, it's possible that Gardner Minshew starts Week 1 before Richardson is eased in, but that has yet to be (officially) determined.

Jonathan Taylor: An ankle injury and the team's offensive struggles limited Taylor last season, but he was fantasy football's overall RB1 in 2021. If there's a concern, it's the potential for Anthony Richardson to steal carries from Taylor, who may also see fewer checkdowns if Richardson tucks it and runs when plays break down.

Michael Pittman Jr.: Pittman set a career high in receptions (99) while averaging a career low in Y/R (9.3) in 2022. While he should lead the receiving corps across the board, fantasy managers should expect some week-to-week inconsistency from Pittman as his rookie quarterback adjusts to the NFL.

Alec Pierce: As noted with Pittman, the offense will likely go through some growing pains and week-to-week inconsistency is reasonable to expect from Indy's pass catchers. That said, the former second-round pick has potential to build upon last year's solid rookie numbers (41/593/2, 14.5 Y/R). The strengths of Pierce and Anthony Richardson match well in the vertical passing game, making the duo an intriguing stack in best ball formats.

Jelani Woods: Woods is an outstanding athlete (4.61 40-yard dash) for someone his size (6-7, 259) and he heads into his second season with some sleeper appeal. Shane Steichen is less likely to spread tight end snaps around the way that Frank Reich has in the past, and Woods could be the biggest benefactor. As the IndyStar notes, "Woods is the only Indianapolis tight end who's shown he has the athleticism to stretch the field the way [Dallas] Goedert can."

Atlanta Falcons 2023 Fantasy Football Projections

Desmond Ridder: Ridder started four games as a rookie, and he enters 2023 atop the depth chart. In his four starts in 2022, he completed 73-of-115 pass attempts (63.5%) for 708 yards (6.2 Y/A) with only two touchdowns (1.7 TD%) and no interceptions. While the Falcons will continue to rely heavily on their ground game, the team's talented young pass catchers (Drake London, Kyle Pitts and rookie running back Bijan Robinson) will help him develop in his second season.

Taylor Heinicke: If Ridder struggles in 2023, however, it's possible that Heinicke could make some starts. While neither Ridder nor Heinicke are draftable in single-quarterback leagues, Heinicke is rosterable at a late-round pick in super flex or two-QB leagues.

Bijan Robinson: Robinson is the most talented back to enter the league in several drafts, and he landed in a spot where he has a chance to perform as a top-five fantasy back. Robinson profiles as a three-down back with outstanding size, speed, vision and contact balance and his 183 missed tackles forced over the past two seasons were 56 more than the next closest back, per PFF. While Robinson is an outstanding receiver as well, only the Bears (56.19%) ran the ball on a higher percentage of plays than the Falcons (55.29%) in 2022.

Tyler Allgeier: Allgeier was a player I liked as a sleeper last year, and the fifth-rounder out of BYU eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark as a rookie. He finished 2022 with 210 carries for 1,035 yards (4.9 YPC) and three touchdowns and added 16 receptions for 139 yards and a score. With the Falcons drafting Robinson at No. 8 overall, it obviously delivers a huge blow to Allgeier's fantasy stock.

Drake London: London led the Falcons in targets (117, 29.25%), receptions (72), yards (866) and touchdowns (four). When Kyle Pitts (knee) was sidelined down the stretch, London was at his best. He finished with 31/428 on 48 targets over the final five games of the year.

Mack Hollins: Hollins set career highs in targets (94), receptions (57) and yards (690) last season with the Raiders. Now with the Falcons as he enters his age-30 season, Hollins will be no better than fourth in the offensive pecking order behind Drake London, Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson.

Kyle Pitts: A knee injury prematurely cut his second season short, but Pitts has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark as a rookie (68/1,026/1). If it weren't for the lack of touchdowns (one), his rookie season would have been viewed as a smashing success. Before his injury last year, his production dropped significantly (12.7 Y/R, 35.6 YPG, 47.5% catch rate and 1.69 Y/RR) compared to 2021 (15.1 Y/R, 60.4 YPG, 61.8% and 2.01 Y/RR). That said, the upside remains high going into his age-23 season.

Houston Texans 2023 Fantasy Football Projections

C.J. Stroud: Stroud displayed pinpoint accuracy when given time in the pocket at Ohio State, and he had an eye-opening performance against Georgia in the College Football Playoff with how consistently he made plays outside of structure. Although he hasn't officially been handed the starting job yet, he has earned praise and respect from his new coaches and teammates. Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson has said that Stroud is "already way, way ahead of pace" with his footwork and timing. Meanwhile, left tackle Laremy Tunsil recently said, "How I describe C.J.: dawg. He's a straight dawg. He comes in there ready to work, he handles the huddle perfectly and he goes out there and balls, man."

Dameon Pierce: Pierce had never exceeded 106 carries in his four seasons at Florida, but he reached that number through his first six games with the Texans. While he missed the final four games of the season with an ankle injury, he had 220 carries for 939 yards and four touchdowns through Week 14. He also added 30 catches for 165 yards and a touchdown. The former Gator was the RB15 through Week 14. Despite Houston signing Devin Singletary, Pierce is still a viable RB2 in 2023.

Devin Singletary: Through four seasons in Buffalo, Singletary had more than 150 carries and averaged exactly 2.4 receptions every year. The workload will almost certainly decline in Houston as he becomes the second option to Pierce, but he could be a bye-week flex option.

Nico Collins: Collins appeared in only 10 games last season, but he ranked second to Brandin Cooks on a per-game basis in receptions (3.7) and yards (48.1). With Cooks traded to the Cowboys, Collins is the early favorite to lead the Texans' receiving corps in fantasy production.

Robert Woods: Woods arguably had the worst season of his 10-year career as he set career lows in yards per reception (9.9), yards per target (5.8) and yards per game (31.0). Although Ryan Tannehill also missed five games, Woods reached the 40-yard receiving mark in only four of 17 games in 2022. While his upside is relatively low, it's possible he emerges as the team's most consistent receiver.

Tank Dell: Dell was uber productive (199/2,727/29 in 27 games over past two years) in college, and though he's undersized (5-8, 165), he's extremely quick. Talking about the wide receivers on SportsRadio 610, DeMeco Ryans recently praised Dell's "route-running ability. He's been open a lot in OTAs. So that's exciting."

Dalton Schultz: Schultz has a minimum of 89 targets in each of the past three seasons, and he has averaged 4.1 receptions and 41.7 yards per game over that span. While he may get a tick less in terms of volume, he has the potential to lead the Texans in receptions in 2023.

Pittsburgh Steelers 2023 Fantasy Football Projections

Kenny Pickett: The Steelers went 7-5 in Pickett's starts, but he threw more interceptions (nine, 2.3%) than touchdowns (seven, 1.8%) in 2022. That said, eight of his nine interceptions were thrown in his first five games. Pickett had zero multiple touchdown games and only one 300-yard passing game (Week 5, 52-attempt 38-3 loss to the Bills in his first-ever start). There may be some breakout potential as he continues to build upon his late-season improvements in efficiency, but as OC Matt Canada recently described "what our identity is going to be. We want to run the ball, we want to be physical, and we want to be a good team that can throw the football down the field."

Najee Harris: While the touches (381 to 313), targets (94 to 53) and yards from scrimmage (1,667 to 1,263) all dropped year over year, Harris managed to play a full 17-game slate once again despite some worries about a Lisfranc injury before the start of the season. The Steelers traded up for Georgia's Broderick Jones, and Kenny Pickett should take a step forward in year two, so that could lead to an improvement from his 2022 RB14 half-PPR performance.

Jaylen Warren: The Athletic's Mark Kaboly wrote in June "[t]he way [Warren] attacks the hole during drills is something to be seen. ... there is no way [OC] Canada can keep him off the field as much as he did last season."

Diontae Johnson: Johnson has more than 85 catches and 140 targets and has led the Steelers in receiving yards in three consecutive seasons. Despite scoring 15 touchdowns in 2020-21, no receiver had more receptions than Johnson (86) in 2022 without a single touchdown reception. In fact, no receiver in NFL history has ever had as many receptions as Johnson without scoring a touchdown, so some positive touchdown regression should be expected.

George Pickens: Among rookie wide receivers, only Atlanta's Drake London (866) had more yards than Pickens (801) in 2022. Pickens averaged 15.4 yards per catch and made a number of acrobatic highlight-reel catches throughout the year.

Allen Robinson: Robinson had a monster 80/1400/14 line in his age-22 season (2015), and he exceeded 1,100 yards in back-to-back seasons as recently as 2019-20. Over the past two seasons, however, he has managed only 71 catches for 749 yards and four touchdowns over 22 games with the Bears and Rams. Expected to start in the slot, Robinson has been labeled a "winner" this offseason.

Patrick Mahomes: Despite losing Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins, Mahomes won his second NFL MVP award in 2022. He threw for 5,250 yards and 41 touchdowns, both of which led the NFL last season. While he doesn't have as much rushing upside as Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts, he has more than 300 rushing yards in three consecutive seasons and multiple rushing scores in five consecutive seasons.

Isiah Pacheco: Pacheco generated some buzz last August as a seventh-round rookie, and he delivered for fantasy managers who drafted him. He finished his inaugural season with 170 carries for 830 yards (4.9 YPC) and five touchdowns and added 13 catches for 130 yards (10.0 Y/R). Pacheco enters 2023 atop the depth chart and he'll have a chance to improve upon his rookie numbers.

Jerick McKinnon: McKinnon had nearly as many targets (71) as carries (72) last season, and he was extremely effective as a receiver. He ended the year with 56 catches for 512 yards (9.1 Y/R) and nine of his 10 touchdowns were receiving scores.

Kadarius Toney: With JuJu Smith-Schuster no longer on the roster, Toney will compete with Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Skyy Moore and rookie Rashee Rice for non-Travis Kelce targets. Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy recently said now that Toney has learned the ins and outs of the Chiefs offense after a midseason trade in 2022, "it's exciting now for us to be able to take that to Year 2 and build that relationship with Pat (Mahomes). He's super talented with the football in his hands, and he's been that way his entire life in his football career." Toney will be a popular name on breakout lists in 2023.

Travis Kelce: While age (turns 34 in October) is still a potential concern, he's shown no signs of slowing down after posting his seventh consecutive 1,000-yard season. Without Tyreek Hill, he posted either his best or second-best numbers across the board — 152 targets, 110 receptions, 1,338 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Absolutely dominant compared to other tight ends, Kelce (15.4) averaged more than double the half-PPR fantasy points per game than the last TE1 (Dalton Schultz, TE12, 7.6 PPG). In fact, if Kelce were a wide receiver, he'd rank ahead of all but five wide receivers in fantasy PPG last season.

Deshaun Watson: Appearing in only six games over the past two seasons, Watson started slow (under 13 fantasy points in three of his first four games) but closed 2022 with two solid performances — 21.9 (weekly QB8) and 19.6 (QB6), respectively. Given his dual-threat skill set, he has plenty of upside for a quarterback drafted as a back-end QB1.

Nick Chubb: Chubb has a career average of 5.2 yards per carry, but he has also yet to average fewer than 5.0 YPC in any of his first five NFL seasons. The talented back carried the ball 302 times last season for 1,525 yards and 12 touchdowns, all of which set or tied career highs. While he's averaged only 1.6 receptions per game over his career, his passing-game role may (or should) expand with Kareem Hunt no longer on the roster.

Jerome Ford: While Kareem Hunt had a disappointing 2022 season, we've seen how productive a second back could be for the Browns in previous seasons. At a minimum, Ford becomes fantasy-relevant as a Chubb's handcuff.

Amari Cooper: Cooper finished his first season as a Browns with 78 receptions for 1,160 yards and a career-high nine touchdowns. Finishing the year as fantasy's WR9 (half-PPR scoring), Cooper had six top-12 weeks, but he also finished outside the top 50 wide receivers six times. It was the sixth 1,000-yard season of Cooper's eight-year career. In theory, a full season with Deshaun Watson under center should be good for Cooper's 2023 fantasy outlook, but there is increased competition for targets with the additions of Elijah Moore, Marquise Goodwin and Cedric Tillman.

Elijah Moore: Before an injury ended his rookie season prematurely, Moore had 34 catches for 459 yards and five touchdowns over his final six games in 2021. (Moore was so good during that span that only Justin Jefferson had more fantasy points over that stretch.) When he was on the field in 2022, things didn't go as well, but he'll get an opportunity to reset with the Browns in 2023.

Donovan Peoples-Jones: DPJ played a full 17-game season, and he shattered previous career highs in targets (96), receptions (61) and yards (839). Unforuntately, it could be difficult to improve upon those numbers with increased competition around him.

David Bell: The Browns used a top-100 pick on Bell in 2022, but The Athletic's Zac Jackson wrote in June that "I don't see" Bell "making this team."

David Njoku: Njoku missed three games in 2022, but it was otherwise a career year for the athletic tight end. He averaged 4.1 receptions and 44.9 yards per game, both of which were career highs. Njoku finished ninth in half-PPR points per game in 2022.

Matthew Stafford: There were concerns with Stafford and his elbow heading into the 2022 season, and the veteran quarterback managed to appear in only nine games due to a spinal cord contusion. Stafford threw 10 touchdowns (3.3 TD%, lowest since 2012) and eight interceptions and averaged 6.9 yards per attempt (lowest since 2018) with an 87.4 passer rating (lowest since 2014). The good news is that he's at full health this offseason. If he can stay healthy in 2023, how close will he be to the 2021 version who led the Rams to the Super Bowl and finished as a top-five fantasy quarterback?

Cam Akers: While he missed nearly all of 2021 with a torn Achilles, Akers has gone from workhorse to the coach's doghouse and back to workhorse, when healthy. Much of Akers' 2022 production came in the final six weeks of the season when he finished with 104 carries for 512 yards (4.92 YPC) and six touchdowns and 11 receptions for 99 yards on 12 targets.

Kyren Williams: Small (5-9 and 194 pounds) and slow (4.65 40-yard dash) by NFL standards, Williams profiles as a change-of-pace option for Akers who has a shot to lead the team's running backs in receptions.

Cooper Kupp: Kupp pulled off the rare triple crown of receiving in 2021, finishing with 145 catches for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. While he missed roughly half of his follow-up season, the 2021 NFL Offensive Player of the Year had a better season than maybe most realized.

Who led ALL receivers in half-PPR fantasy points scored in 2022 on a per-game basis? Yep, it was Kupp — not Justin Jefferson, or any other receiver. Kupp will be at full strength heading into 2023, and he'll be someone I hope slips to me in drafts this year.

Tyler Higbee: Higbee set career highs in targets (108, fourth-most among TEs) and receptions (72, fifth) in 2022. While Cooper Kupp missed nearly half of the season, Higbee's per-game numbers were better with Kupp (4.9/43 on 7.2 targets) than without Kupp (3.5/29 on 5.4 targets). At a position where volume is inconsistent outside of the elite options, there is plenty of value in the consistency of Higbee's volume.
