QUARTERBACKS

Dorian Thompson-Robinson33.920.7233.91.150.977.427.80.1915.94

Deshaun Watson: Appearing in only six games over the past two seasons, Watson started slowly (under 13 fantasy points in three of his first four games) but closed 2022 with two solid performances — 21.9 (weekly QB8) and 19.6 (QB6), respectively. Given his dual-threat skill set, he has upside for a quarterback being drafted as a back-end QB1.

RUNNING BACKS

PlayerAtt.YardsTDRec.YardsTDPoints
Nick Chubb261.11253.38.7537.73021.7237.08
Jerome Ford99.8429.12.5918.31340.684.6
Pierre Strong25.9112.70.527.6580.426.39

Nick Chubb: Chubb has a career average of 5.2 yards per carry, but he has also yet to average fewer than 5.0 YPC in any of his first five NFL seasons. The talented back carried the ball 302 times last season for 1,525 yards and 12 touchdowns, all of which set or tied career highs. While he's averaged only 1.6 receptions per game over his career, his passing-game role may (or should) expand with Kareem Hunt no longer on the roster.

Jerome Ford: While Kareem Hunt had a disappointing 2022 season, we've seen how productive a second back could be for the Browns in previous seasons. Ford may not get the same workload previously given to Hunt, but he immediately becomes fantasy-relevant as Chubb's handcuff and complementary back, at a minimum.

WIDE RECEIVERS

David Bell7.9960.700017.75
Marquise Goodwin6840.716.30.0416.47

Amari Cooper: Cooper finished his first season as a Brown with 78 receptions for 1,160 yards and a career-high nine touchdowns. Finishing the year as fantasy's WR9 (half-PPR scoring), Cooper had six top-12 weeks, but he also finished outside the top 50 wide receivers six times. It was the sixth 1,000-yard season of Cooper's eight-year career. In theory, a full season with Deshaun Watson under center should be good for Cooper's 2023 fantasy outlook, but there is also increased competition for targets.

Elijah Moore: Before an injury ended his rookie season prematurely, Moore had 34 catches for 459 yards and five touchdowns over his final six games in 2021. (Moore was so good during that span that only Justin Jefferson had more fantasy points over that stretch.) When he was on the field in 2022, however, things didn't go nearly as well, but he'll get an opportunity to reset with the Browns in 2023.

Donovan Peoples-Jones: DPJ played a full 17-game season, and he shattered previous career highs in targets (96), receptions (61) and yards (839). Unforuntately, it could be difficult to improve upon those numbers with increased competition around him.

David Njoku: Njoku missed three games in 2022, but it was otherwise a career year for the athletic tight end. He averaged 4.1 receptions and 44.9 yards per game, both of which were career highs. Njoku finished ninth in half-PPR points per game in 2022.

Cleveland Browns Fantasy Football Projections 2022

Our 2022 Fantasy Football Projections will be viewable by both position and team.

Below you will find our 2022 fantasy football projections for the Cleveland Browns.

MORE: Fantasy football projections for more NFL teams

QUARTERBACKS

PlayerAtt.Comp.YardsTDINTRushYardsTDPoints
Jacoby Brissett328.5205.32118.811.834.9349.9174.71.25147.18

Joshua Dobbs23.614.6155.80.90.642.510.60.059.91

Jacoby Brissett: Deshaun Watson's 11-game suspension makes Brissett the starter for the majority of the 2022 season. In his two seasons as a full-time starter (2017 and 2019), he finished as fantasy's QB20 and QB23, respectively. He's a low-upside option when he starts and he'll lose his starting gig during the fantasy playoffs, which makes him only a consideration in 2-QB formats.

Deshaun Watson: Suspended for the first 11 games of the season, Watson is eligible to return in Week 13 against his former team (Houston Texans). Especially for those in 2-QB formats, Watson would provide a significant boost for the fantasy playoffs. While he also did not play a snap in 2021, Watson has finished as fantasy's QB4, QB4 and QB5 in his three NFL seasons as a full-time starter. In other words, he will be a top-10 option (or better) in fantasy from Week 13 on.

RUNNING BACKS

Demetric Felton416.40.099.170.60.416.19
Jerome Ford14.262.50.393.525.30.113.47

Nick Chubb: One of the league's best pure runners, Chubb has yet to finish with fewer than 996 rushing yards, eight rushing touchdowns or 5.0 yards per carry in a season. Even though he's missed a total of seven games over the past two seasons combined, Chubb has finished his four seasons as fantasy's RB16, RB7, RB9 and RB11, respectively, in half-PPR scoring.

Kareem Hunt: Entering the final year of his contract, Hunt had requested a trade but the Browns have rejected that request. No team has a more talented duo on their roster than Chubb and Hunt, who was the NFL's rushing champion in 2017 as a rookie with Kansas City. Given his versatile skill set, Hunt provides stand-alone flex value when Chubb is active and RB1 upside when/if Chubb misses time.

Anthony Schwartz19.82661.59.559.90.4854.37
Michael Woods II2.728.90.20005.44

Amari Cooper: No longer in Dallas, Cooper won't face the same kind of target competition in Cleveland as he's clearly the team's No. 1 receiver in 2022. That said, there is plenty of risk to the passing offense in general with Deshaun Watson suspended for 11 games. Cooper has five 1,000-yard campaigns in seven seasons.

PlayerRec.YardsTDRushYardsTDPoints
David Njoku47.4546.43.400098.74
Harrison Bryant31.4323.92.200061.29

David Njoku: Njoku finished 2021 with 36 catches for 475 yards and four touchdowns. The only Browns with more receptions last season -- Jarvis Landry (52) and Austin Hooper (38) -- are no longer on the roster, although the team traded for Amari Cooper. I expect Njoku to finish second on the team in receiving across the board, behind only Cooper.

Fantasy Football Projections 2021: Dallas Cowboys

Our 2021 Fantasy Football Projections will be viewable by both position and team.

Below you will find our 2021 fantasy football projections for the Dallas Cowboys.

Note: These projections are based on a 17-game NFL schedule, which is expected in 2021.

Dak Prescott: From Weeks 2 to 4 last season, Prescott threw for a minimum (yes, minimum) of 450 yards in three consecutive games with a total of 11 touchdowns (eight passing and three rushing). As noted in our Dak Prescott 2021 Fantasy Football Profile, Prescott (three) had more 450-yard passing games than the rest of the league combined (two) in 2020. During that three-game stretch before getting injured, Prescott performed as the weekly QB1, QB4 and QB1, respectively. With a talented trio of wide receivers, Prescott has tremendous upside if he can stay healthy.

Corey Clement7.430.70.152.623.20.18.19

Ezekiel Elliott: The offense went off the tracks when Dak Prescott sustained his season-ending injury and the offensive line injuries further impacted Elliott's production. From Weeks 6 to 17, Zeke finished as a top-12 fantasy running only twice in 10 games after doing so three times in the team's first five games. Even if Tony Pollard earns a few more touches in 2021, Elliott should rank near the top of the league in workload. In fact, only three backs had more than six games last season with at least 20 touches -- Derrick Henry (14), Dalvin Cook (11) and Elliott (11).

Tony Pollard: Even though he played fewer than 50% of the team's offensive snaps in all but one game (Week 15, 90%), Pollard had at least eight touches in 10 of the team's final 12 games. Assuming good health for Dak Prescott and the offensive line, 8-10 weekly touches in this offense could lead to stand-alone flex value for Pollard on a weekly basis. If Elliott went down with an injury, Pollard would be a top-10 play each week that Zeke missed.

Amari Cooper: Cooper finished 2020 with a career-high 92 receptions for 1,114 yards and five touchdowns. It was his third consecutive 1,000-yard season and fifth of his career. In 41 games as a member of the Cowboys, Cooper has averaged 73.9 yards per game.

CeeDee Lamb: With a healthy Dak Prescott, Lamb began his NFL career with two 100-yard games and a minimum of 59 yards in each of his first five games. During that five-game span, Lamb scored the 11th-most fantasy points (Amari Cooper was 12th) and only five other receivers had more receiving yards (433). Based on his skill set, Lamb should eventually emerge as the 1(a) for the Cowboys to Cooper's 1(b) with Fantasy Football ADP suggesting that will happen this season.

MORE: CeeDee Lamb 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook

Michael Gallup: It was a down year (59/843/5) for Gallup, who averaged 26.4 fewer yards per game than he did in 2019. Of course, the offense as a whole struggled without Dak Prescott and Gallup had 50-plus yards in four of five games with Prescott and in only three-of-11 games without him.

Blake Jarwin: With the Cowboys moving on from Jason Witten before the start of the 2020 season, Jarwin was expected to see a big jump in target share and production, but he unfortunately tore his ACL in Week 1. As a part-time player in 2018 and 2019, Jarwin had a total of 77 catches for 672 yards and six touchdowns.

Dalton Schultz: Taking on a much larger-than-expected role given Jarwin's ACL tear, Schultz had 63 catches for 615 yards and four touchdowns. The former Stanford Cardinal finished the year as fantasy's TE12 (half-PPR) and was a little better in full PPR formats (TE10) and a little worse in non-PPR formats (TE15). If Jarwin can stay healthy, however, Schultz will return to a secondary role.

2021 Fantasy Football Half-PPR Mock Draft: 14 Teams, 12th Pick

The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2021 NFL season, we will use the 2021 Fantasy Football Mock Draft Simulator (powered by FantasyPros) to complete fantasy football mock drafts.

We will use a variety of scoring formats -- PPR, half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues, league sizes and draft slots. The goal is to give you a good representation of the team that you may be able to construct given your league settings and the rationale of why we made the picks we did.

+ Our mocks will be tracked here: Fantasy Football Mock Drafts.

That said, nothing beats practicing yourself so (check out the simulator) and complete a mock in a matter of minutes.

Half-PPR Mock Draft: 14 Teams, 12th Pick

1.12 - Austin Ekeler, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Missing a significant chunk of time due to injury and playing at less than 100 percent when returning to the field, Ekeler averaged 5.5 yards per touch and scored only three touchdowns, both of which were career lows. With Joe Lombardi coming over from New Orleans to run the offense, however, Ekeler's immense upside as a receiver makes him a top-10 back across all formats.

More: Los Angeles Chargers 2022 NFL Mock Draft Roundup

2.03 - Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

Mixon appeared in only six games in 2020 and he has now missed multiple games in three of his four NFL seasons. That said, Mixon had a minimum of 19 touches in the six games in which he appeared in 2020. Through Week 6, Mixon had more carries (119) than all running backs not named Derrick Henry (123) and was top 10 among running backs in targets (26). With Giovani Bernard now in Tampa, Mixon should be even more involved as a receiver.

3.12 - Amari Cooper, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Cooper finished 2020 with a career-high 92 receptions for 1,114 yards and five touchdowns. It was his third consecutive 1,000-yard season and fifth of his career. In 41 games as a member of the Cowboys, Cooper has averaged 73.9 yards per game. Recovering from ankle surgery, Cooper is expected to return to practice after the Aug. 13th preseason game and play a few snaps before the regular season begins.

More: Dak Prescott 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook

4.03 - Robert Woods, WR, Los Angeles Rams

It was a relatively disappointing season for Woods and the Rams offense in general. Woods tied a career high in receptions (90), but his receiving yardage (936) and yards from scrimmage (1,091) were three-year lows. Replacing Jared Goff with Matthew Stafford generates some optimism for all of the skill-position players.

5.12 - Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks

It was a tale of two seasons for Wilson. In his first eight games, Wilson averaged 29.52 fantasy points per game and scored no fewer than 21.9. In his final eight games, he averaged only 17.08 and scored more than 21.9 only once during that span.

Despite Pete Carroll's prioritization to establish the run, Wilson has never finished worse than the QB11 (2016) and has finished as a top-six fantasy quarterback in five of the past seven seasons.

6.03 - D.J. Chark, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Chark missed three games in 2020 and averaged 12.9 yards per game less than in 2019, but improved quarterback play with Trevor Lawrence makes Chark a bounce-back candidate for 2021. Two seasons ago, Chark had 73 catches for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns in his age-23 season.

7.12 - Laviska Shenault, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Shenault Jr. played only 10 snaps in Week 9 and then missed the following two games. Outside of those three games, the rookie had a minimum of three receptions in every game. Over the final five games of the season, he had 25 catches (on 36 targets) for 246 yards and four touchdowns and added six carries for 31 yards and he was the WR16 (half-PPR) over that stretch.

More: Jacksonville Jaguars 2022 NFL Mock Draft Roundup

8.03 - Mike Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

In 2018, Williams had 10 touchdowns. In 2019, he led the NFL with 20.4 Y/R and posted his first (and only) 1,000-yard season. Not only were overall numbers (48/756/5) disappointing, but he had only four top-36 performances (half-PPR) out of his 15 games last season. That said, Lombardi said that he'd "bet on nice numbers coming from [Williams] on the stat sheet, that's for sure."

9.12 - Kenyan Drake, RB, Las Vegas Raiders

Even though Drake moves into a secondary role with his new team, there is some profit potential here in Round 9.

More: Las Vegas Raiders 2021 Fantasy Football Projections

10.03 - Latavius Murray, RB, New Orleans Saints

When both Kamara and Murray are active, Murray could flirt with stand-alone flex value -- especially during bye weeks. For any weeks that Kamara may miss, however, Murray becomes a must-start play. In the two games that Kamara missed and Murray was active, Murray had a total of 62 touches, 307 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns.

11.12 - Irv Smith, TE, Minnesota Vikings

Smith missed three games last season, but the second-year tight end set career highs in YPG (28.1), Y/R (12.2) and touchdowns (five). With Kyle Rudolph no longer on the roster, the arrow is pointing up for the third-year tight end.

12.03 - Adam Trautman, TE, New Orleans Saints

A breakout candidate set for an expanded role in year two, Trautman will be a popular sleeper pick at tight end. Not only are Jared Cook and Josh Hill no longer on the roster, but Emmanuel Sanders (82 targets) is also gone and Michael Thomas is likely to miss the start of the season following recent ankle surgery.

13.12 - Salvon Ahmed, RB, Miami Dolphins

Gaskin's six missed games opened up opportunities for Ahmed to have a few high-volume games. The UDFA exceeded 20 carries twice and had three separate games with at least 17 touches. On a relatively thin depth chart, he or Malcolm Brown will become hot waiver-wire commodities if Gaskin struggles with durability again.

14.03 - Patriots DST, New England Patriots

15.12 - Wil Lutz, K, New Orleans Saints

16.03 - Samaje Perine, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

Perine averaged 6.6 YPC last season for the Bengals and he slides in as the RB2 behind Mixon with Bernard now longer on the roster. Given Mixon's durability history, Perine provides me with some insurance.

2021 Fantasy Football Half-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 8th Pick

Half-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 8th Pick

1.08 - Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Dallas Cowboys

The offense went off the tracks when Dak Prescott sustained his season-ending injury and the offensive line injuries further impacted Elliott's production. Even if Tony Pollard (Round 10 handcuff) earns a few more touches in 2021, Elliott should rank near the top of the league in workload. In fact, only three backs had more than six games last season with at least 20 touches -- Derrick Henry (14), Dalvin Cook (11) and Elliott (11).

2.05 - Calvin Ridley, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Ridley closed the season the same way he started it -- with 100-plus yards in four of five games. Along with Davante Adams (six) and Stefon Diggs (three), Ridley was one of three receivers to finish as a top-two weekly fantasy receiver at least three times in 2020. Ridley finished last season with 90 catches on 143 targets for 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns and should be a top-five fantasy wide receiver in 2021, especially with Julio Jones in Tennessee.

3.08 - Amari Cooper, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Cooper finished 2020 with a career-high 92 receptions for 1,114 yards and five touchdowns. It was his third consecutive 1,000-yard season and fifth of his career. In 41 games as a member of the Cowboys, Cooper has averaged 73.9 yards per game. Recovering from ankle surgery, Cooper is expected to return to practice after the Aug. 13th preseason game and play a few snaps before the regular season begins.

More: CeeDee Lamb 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook

4.05 - Chris Carson, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Few teams want to "establish the run" more than the Seahawks so returning to Seattle on a two-year deal was Carson's ideal landing spot. Even though the Seahawks let Russell Wilson "cook" in the first half of the year, Carson performed as a weekly fantasy RB13 or better in four of the team's five games before their Week 6 bye. In fact, he was a top-five performer from Weeks 1 to 5. Coming out of the bye, Carson sustained a foot injury in Week 7 that kept him out of several games. Carson's physical running style lends itself to a greater propensity to get banged up, but he's an undervalued RB2 in fantasy this year.

5.08 - Chase Claypool, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

Claypool scored 11 touchdowns -- nine receiving and two rushing -- in the regular season and added two more receiving scores in the team's playoff loss to Cleveland. Re-signing JuJu Smith-Schuster to a one-year deal puts a dent into Mapletron's upside in year two, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was the team's top-producing wideout in 2021.

More: Pittsburgh Steelers 2022 NFL Mock Draft Roundup

6.05 - Chase Edmonds, RB, Arizona Cardinals

The former fourth-round pick has averaged 4.4 yards per carry and 7.2 yards per reception over his first three NFL seasons. With Kenyan Drake out and James Conner in, Edmonds should be Arizona's RB1 and has an opportunity to perform as a fantasy RB2 in 2021.

More: Chase Edmonds 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook

7.08 - Justin Herbert, QB, Los Angeles Chargers

The reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, Herbert had at least 300 passing yards and/or multiple touchdowns in 13 of his 15 starts as a rookie. Even with a new coaching staff in place for the upcoming season, the second-year quarterback should benefit from a more normal offseason as he enters the season already entrenched as the starter. Not to mention, the offense should be more QB-friendly in 2021. It wouldn't surprise me if he makes a sophomore leap that catapults him into the top five or so QBs.

8.05 - Michael Carter, RB, New York Jets

Opening camp with the first-team offense, Carter is the 1(a) option in the backfield even if the offense deploys a committee approach this season. The rookie out of UNC averaged 8.0 YPC as a senior and finished his collegiate career with 82 receptions.

More: New York Jets 2021 Fantasy Football Projections

9.08 - Brandin Cooks, WR, Houston Texans

Averaging a career-high 76.7 YPG, Cooks finished his first season in Houston with 81 catches for 1,150 yards and six touchdowns. From Week 5 on, Cooks had at least 59 yards in 10 of 11 games. During that 11-game span, he averaged 6.5 catches and 92 yards per game.

Given Deshaun Watson's uncertain status as we approach the 2021 season, it's reasonable to project lower year-over-year numbers for Cooks, even with Will Fuller now in Miami. At the same time, he should be the recipient of as many targets as he can handle, so I like him as a high-upside WR4 for this team.

10.05 - Tony Pollard, RB, Dallas Cowboys

If Zeke misses any time, Pollard is a high-upside handcuff. Despite playing fewer than 50% of the team's offensive snaps every week except for the game Ezekiel Elliott missed (Week 15, 90%), Pollard had at least eight touches in 10 of the team's final 12 games. Assuming good health for Dak Prescott and the offensive line, 8-10 weekly touches in this offense could lead to stand-alone weekly flex value for Pollard.

11.08 - T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Depending on how quickly Carson Wentz (foot surgery) is able to return, there is some upside for speedy veteran receiver here.

More: Indianapolis Colts 2021 NFL Power Rankings Roundup

12.05 - Robert Tonyan, TE, Green Bay Packers

Entering 2020 with 14 career receptions, Tonyan scored nearly as many touchdowns (12 counting the playoffs) as he had career receptions prior to last season. While teammate Davante Adams led the NFL with 18 touchdown receptions, Tonyan's 11 regular-season scores tied a position high with Travis Kelce.

More: Green Bay Packers 2022 NFL Mock Draft Roundup

13.08 - Mike Gesicki, TE, Miami Dolphins

It's not uncommon for me to punt tight end and then double-down with two back-end TE1 options. The third-year tight end posted career highs across the board with 53 receptions, 703 yards and six touchdowns.

14.05 - Ravens DST, Baltimore Ravens

15.08 - Harrison Butker, K, Kansas City Chiefs

16.05 - Breshad Perriman, WR, Detroit Lions

Injuries to Tampa's wide receivers allowed Perriman to close 2019 strong -- three 100-yard games and 25/506/5 over his final five games -- but those numbers were even better than his full-season numbers (12 games) as a Jet (30/505/3) in 2020. Perriman has missed multiple games in every season other than his rookie campaign (2016). Continuing his tour around the league, the former first-rounder is as good of a bet as any to lead the team's wide receiving corps in targets, which makes him a last-round dart throw to consider.
