Jameis Winston: Winston has an improved group of pass catchers at his disposal with the return of Michael Thomas and the additions of first-rounder Chris Olave and free agent Jarvis Landry. As long as he remains aggressive without being careless with the football, there is some upside from his ADP.

Alvin Kamara: It appears that any suspension resulting from Kamara's battery case will likely occur in 2023, although it remains an added layer of risk for those that use an early pick on him. He set a career high in rush attempts (240), despite playing a career-low 13 games in 2021. Kamara also set career lows in YPC (3.7), targets (67), receptions (47) and receiving yards per game (33.8). Excluding the four games he missed, however, Kamara was still the RB4 in half-PPR scoring (RB5 on per-game basis).

Mark Ingram: If Kamara is suspended during any part of the 2022 season, which seems unlikely (as noted above), Ingram should lead the backfield in workload and become a viable RB2/flex option during that stretch. If Kamara doesn't miss any time, however, the 32-year-old is likely to have minimal stand-alone value.

Michael Thomas: Thomas missed all of 2021 and appeared in only seven games in 2020. Before that, however, he led the NFL in receptions (149) and yards (1,725) in 2019. A return to league-leading production isn't likely, but he's a viable WR3 in fantasy. It appears his latest injury (hamstring) is unlikely to keep him out of the starting lineup in Week 1.

Chris Olave: The 11th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Olave is a polished route-runner with the speed to win vertically. While he isn't the biggest receiver and won't break many tackles, he'll make an immediate impact and is a viable WR4 as a rookie.

Jarvis Landry: Landry returns to his home state to form a talented trio of receivers with Thomas and Olave. Landry missed five games last season, but he had never finished with fewer than 72 catches or 101 targets in a season prior to that. His target share in 2022 may turn out to be a career low, but the five-time Pro Bowler has a history of outperforming expectations.

Jameis Winston: While Winston (foot) will miss a few days of practice, this injury isn't considered serious. When he is on the field, he'll have an improved group of pass catchers at his disposal with the return of Michael Thomas and the additions of first-rounder Chris Olave and free agent Jarvis Landry. As long as he remains aggressive without being careless with the football, there is some upside from his current ADP.

Alvin Kamara: Kamara's battery case was delayed again, which could push an expected suspension forward to the 2023 season. Kamara set a career high in rush attempts (240), despite playing a career-low 13 games in 2021. He also set career lows in YPC (3.7), targets (67), receptions (47) and receiving yards per game (33.8). When active, however, Kamara should perform as a top-10 back or better. Baker Mayfield: Making major improvements over his 2019 campaign, Mayfield set a career high in passer rating (95.9) and a career low in INT% (1.6%). Outside of a four-game stretch near the end of the season (Weeks 12-15), however, Mayfield's efficiency didn't translate into a usable level of fantasy production.

Mayfield performed as a QB1 (top 12) in all four of those weeks (Weeks 12-15), but he had only one other top-12 weekly finish throughout the rest of the season (Week 7). Over the full season, he finished as fantasy's QB17. Leading a run-first playoff-caliber team likely means another season of modest passing volume that translates into mid-tier QB2-level fantasy production.

Nick Chubb: Despite missing four games, Chubb still finished as fantasy's RB9 in 2020. Chubb has finished second and third in rushing yards per game in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Through his first three seasons, Chubb has never averaged fewer than five yards per carry in a season.

Even with the league's best No. 2 back (Kareem Hunt) on the roster, Chubb has averaged 18.05 touches per game since Hunt returned from his 2019 suspension. Only four teams in the league had a higher rushing play percentage than the Browns in Kevin Stefanski's first year as head coach.

Kareem Hunt: While Chubb (RB9) was a top-10 fantasy running back in 2020, so was Hunt (RB10). Outside of Week 16, Hunt had double-digit touches in all of his other 15 games. Playing in one of the league's most run-heavy offenses, there is enough to go around for both Chubb and Hunt to be top-30 backs.

Odell Beckham: OBJ has now missed at least four games in three of the past four seasons. Since becoming a Brown, Beckham has averaged 4.6 and 3.3 receptions per game in 2019 and 2020, respectively, both of which are the lowest per-game averages of his career. In addition, Beckham's per-game averages of 4.2/58.9/0.3 as a Brown are significantly lower compared to his per-game averages as a Giant (6.6/92.8/0.75).

Jarvis Landry: While he has typically exceeded his preseason expectations, Landry finished 2020 as fantasy's WR36, identical to his final 2020 half-PPR ADP (via Fantasy Football Calculator). Landry set career lows in targets (101) and receptions (72) last season and his yards from scrimmage (850) and total touchdowns (four) were either the lowest or second-lowest of his career. Given that those numbers were mostly without Odell Beckham Jr. (torn ACL), it's unlikely that Landry outperforms last year's modest numbers (by much) in Cleveland's run-first offense.

Donovan Peoples-Jones: People-Jones' has generated plenty of buzz over the past month. The Athletic's Zac Jackson writes that even if DPG is "not ready for an instant breakout in 2021, he's absolutely lighting up training camp." Peoples-Jones may be the team's third-best receiver, but it's questionable whether their run-first approach can really support two fantasy-viable receivers.

Rashard Higgins: Higgins' 2020 averages of 46.1 yards per game, 11.5 yards per target and 16.2 yards per reception all set career highs. That said, Cleveland's run-heavy offense can barely support two fantasy-relevant wide receivers, let alone three (or four), so Higgins will be off the fantasy radar in standard-sized leagues without an injury to OBJ and/or Landry.

Austin Hooper: The team's overall passing volume is modest, but Cleveland's offense is TE-friendly with 27.74% of 2020 targets going to the position. Hooper, who has now missed three games in back-to-back seasons, underwhelmed in his first season in Cleveland as he averaged a career-low 6.2 Y/TGT and 33.5 YPG, a three-year low. With Odell Beckham sidelined (torn ACL), Hooper was more productive down the stretch -- 25/211/3 on 40 targets over his final five games including the playoffs. While OBJ will be back, coach Kevin Stefanski has talked about how Cleveland is "going to grow his role" in the offense in 2021.

PPR 12-Team Fantasy Football Mock Draft - 12th Pick

The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2020 NFL season, we will use the 2020 Fantasy Football Mock Draft Simulator (powered by FantasyPros) to complete fantasy football mock drafts.

We will use a variety of scoring formats -- PPR, half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues, league sizes and draft slots. The goal is to give you a good representation of the team that you may be able to construct given your league settings and the rationale of why we made the picks we did.

That said, nothing beats practicing yourself so (check out the simulator) and complete a mock in a matter of minutes.

Without further ado, here are the picks of our 12-team 2020 fantasy football mock draft using PPR scoring with the 12th pick:

1.12 - Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

One of just three backs with 275-plus touches in each of the past two seasons, Mixon started slowly last year but finished strong -- RB4 over final eight weeks with 177/817/5 (4.62 YPC) rushing and 16/177 (11.06 Y/R) receiving. Both the offense overall and the offensive line should be better in 2020, which should help to carry over his second-half momentum into 2020.

2.01 - Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons

The obvious knock on Jones has been his lack of red-zone production as he still has just one season (2012) with double-digit touchdowns. That said, Jones now has 1,394 receiving yards in six consecutive seasons; the only other active streak is two (Michael Thomas, WR1). Over the past six seasons, Jones has averaged a receiving line of 103.8/1,564.7/6.2.

3.12 - Todd Gurley, RB, Atlanta Falcons

Racking up 3,924 scrimmage yards and scoring 40 touchdowns the previous two years combined, Gurley barely exceeded the 1,000-yard rushing mark (1,064 YFS) in his age-25 season. Obvious durability concerns persist about Gurley's arthritic knee, but he enters 2020 as the clear lead back in Atlanta's potent offense.

4.01 - Calvin Ridley, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Ridley posted per-game career highs in targets (7.2), receptions (4.8) and yards (66.6) in 2019, although his season was cut short (Week 14) by an abdominal injury. Through Week 14, Ridley was a top-15 receiver across the board -- WR13 in half-PPR, WR14 in full PPR and WR10 in non-PPR. With a lack of depth behind starters, Ridley is poised for a big season as long as his health cooperates.

5.12 - David Montgomery, RB, Chicago Bears

Earlier this offseason, GM Ryan Pace talked about Montomgery's ability to "carry a heavier load" if the team runs more often in 2020. While the former Cyclone averaged only 3.7 YPC, he finished his rookie campaign with 242 carries and 25 receptions.

6.01 - Jarvis Landry, WR, Cleveland Browns

Returning from suspension for the final eight games, Hunt was heavily involved, especially as a receiver, as he averaged 10 touches (5.4 carries and 4.6 receptions) per game. Hunt (RB19) and Chubb (RB15) weren't all that dissimilar in terms of fantasy production from Weeks 10-17.

8.01 - Jamison Crowder, WR, New York Jets

Crowder led the Jets in targets (122), receptions (78), yards (833) and touchdowns (six) last season. With Robby Anderson and Demaryius Thomas no longer on the roster, Crowder could be even better in 2020 if Sam Darnold can stay healthy. The slot receiver's ADP has been steadily rising in August.

9.12 - Golden Tate, WR, New York Giants

Serving a four-game PED suspension to begin the year, Tate performed as fantasy's WR28 from Weeks 5 to 17. Tate averaged 7.7 targets, 4.5 receptions and 61.5 yards per game and scored six touchdowns, tied for the second-most in his career.

10.01 - Preston Williams, WR, Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins made a number of roster improvements through free agency and the draft, but there were no significant additions in terms of pass-catchers. In fact, the group is worse off with Wilson and Hurns opting out. More talented (four-star high school recruit) than his UDFA status (due to off-field reasons) would imply, Williams made an immediate impact for the Dolphins with 32/428/3 in eight games before tearing his ACL. Expected to be ready for Week 1, Williams should pick up where he left off in year two.

11.12 - Hunter Henry, TE, Los Angeles Chargers

One of the league's most talented tight ends, Henry has played just 26 games over the past three seasons combined. That said, he set career highs in his age-25 season in targets (76), receptions (55) and yards (652) in just 12 games.

12.01 - Carson Wentz, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have a dynamic one-two punch at tight end with Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, but their receiving corps was decimated by injuries last season. Wentz became the league's first 4,000-yard passer without a 500-yard (wide) receiver. The front office turbo-charged the receiving corps with the addition of speed and lots of it this offseason.

13.12 - Austin Hooper, TE, Cleveland Browns

Despite missing three games, Hooper posted career highs across the board with 75 catches, 787 yards and six touchdowns. Before missing any time, Hooper was fantasy's top-scoring tight end through Week 8. As he transitions to a new team and offense, however, Hooper is a back-end TE1, at best, in what should be a run-heavy offense.

14.01 - Chase Edmonds, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Edmonds played 60 snaps (94%) against the Giants in Week 8 and exploded for 150 YFS and three touchdowns on 29 touches. Missing all of November and playing only 15 offensive snaps in December, the third-year back out of Fordham enters 2020 as Kenyan Drake's primary handcuff with David Johnson now in Houston.

Cleveland Browns Fantasy Football Projections 2020

At this time last year, expectations were through the roof for the Browns in general and for Baker Mayfield's development. Those expectations were met with nothing but disappointment as Mayfield managed to score 20-plus fantasy points in only three of 16 games. An improved offensive line and new coaching staff generates some renewed optimism for Mayfield, but he's better viewed as a QB2 heading into 2020.

Finishing 2019 as fantasy's RB7, Chubb (1,494 yards) trailed only Derrick Henry (1,540) in rushing last season. Meanwhile, the offensive line upgrades and a more run-centric offense bode well for Chubb to challenge for the rushing title in 2020. That said, Chubb's role as a receiver was greatly diminished once Kareem Hunt returned from his eight-game suspension. The 24-year-old back had 25 catches on 32 targets with Hunt suspended; only 11 catches on 17 targets over the final eight games with Hunt.

The good news is that Beckham Jr. played a full 16-game slate for the first time in three seasons. The bad news is that he averaged per-game career lows of 4.63 catches, 64.7 yards and 0.25 touchdowns and finished his first season in Cleveland as fantasy's WR26 (half-PPR). As disappointing as 2019 was for his fantasy owners, Beckham has a top-five skill set and should produce much better numbers in 2020.

Going from his rookie season to 2019, Mayfield benefits from both the status quo (Freddie Kitchens) and changes (trade for Odell Beckham).

Missing four games last season, Beckham hauled in 77 receptions for 1,052 yards and six scores. Even though OBJ has missed 21 games over his five-year career, he ranks third in receiving touchdowns (44) over that span behind Antonio Brown (59) and DeAndre Hopkins (45). Especially given the quarterback upgrade of going from Eli Manning to Baker Mayfield, the sky's the limit for Beckham Jr., who is currently projected to more touchdowns than all receivers not named Davante Adams in our projections.
